GCobb.com 2010 NFL Mock Draft Number 10

I expect the Eagles to move up in the first round and try to grab a top rated cornerback or¬† safety.¬† I think they’re going to give Darryl Tapp a chance at the left end spot, so I believe their first pick will be somebody who plays in the secondary.

In this mock draft, I have them selecting talented cornerback Devin McCourty, who has the sound technique and quick feet to come in and play immediately.

He is also a tremendous punt blocker and kick returner.

GCobb.com Mock Draft #10

We have major holes in the defense. My wish list is for the DB/OLB/DE spots to be addressed efficiently in no particular order in the draft or via some type of trades. The offense will have to score 28+ every game next year if those positions are not addressed.

No Doubt that Eagles will grab a CB with thier 1st overall pick
K WIlson is the #1 choice if he’s still on the board (which is doubtful) then D Mcortney whose a 50/50 Chance to still be availalbe and if both are gone, then they grab K Jackson or possibly trade down with a team and pick up an extra 2nd Rounder and possibly package a player to get a starter in return
Then they will use the #37 pick for and O/Lineman (Saffold,C Brown if they are still on the board)
and then address the Safety/LB/DT positions with the #55th/#70th/#87th selections would be my plan) and use the 4th/5th selections (#105/#121/#137) to draft a young QB,Center,TE,and DE

No way they reach for this guy. Maybe with the 37th pick. And Odrick at 7th? Have you been drinking?

G’s Mock Draft is the first one that made sense to me. If Earl Thomas is on the board at 17 I could def see the Birds trying to make a move up to that spot.

Paulman, the name is McCourty not McCortney. You had never seen him play, have you?

I know this may be a reach, but there are going to be Dfense left in the 2nd and 3rd rounds… If Pouncy or Iupati are there, Take your pick.. They are day one starters and will solidify the O line.. (LT)Peters,(LG)Herramans,(C) Cole/Jackson/Pouncey, (RG) Andrews,Cole, Iupati, Pouncey, (RT)Justice… The Guard/Center positions in this draft are thin, but DE, OLB, Safety, CB positions are deep.. They can trade back to the 2nd round and acquire more picks or? This Draft is deep believe me…

Eagles will package a few picks and move up between 10-13 and take DE D. Morgan. Just a guess…

To Reidsucks: Paulmans always getting players names wrong, and on top of that, he/she evaluates players poorly. I am convinced that Paulman doesn’t even watch the sport and bases everything off of everything they hear.

To Paulman: Your Mock is wacky, you might want to go for #1523. It’s a mock though, and mocks are always wacky, so whatever.

To G’s mock: I sure hope the Cowboys don’t get Weatherspoon (I don’t think he will last that long anyway), because he will be a monster NFL LB.

I don’t know if it’s worth using a 1st rounder on McCourty. I think there’s a decent possibility that Wilson will be there around 19-21 and if he is, I could see them trading up a few spots like they did last year.

Paulman may very well be the biggest waste of human life to ever comment on a message board, which is saying a heck of a lot. The sad thing is, I don’t think it makes any difference whether he gets insulted or complimented; it’s all the same to his twisted brain. When he reads insults like this, it probably makes him feel good because when you are as much of a pathetic tool as he is, any attention is good attention. Paulman is the taint of this website, and I don’t mean that as a metaphor. He is literally the anatomical region between the anus and the testicles of this website…..and as I said before, he pees sitting down.

P.S. Props are due to G, etc…for the new website. It seems like all the old problems are gone and there is much more content.

If they trade up I would love to see them going after Earl Thomas. Dude is great seems like he is being overshadowed by Berry. Rightfully so Berry is a beast. Thomas runs a 4.4 40 hes quick and everything im reading about him he is everything the Eagles need in a FS.

Physical great in coverage and run support. Reminds experts of Troy Polamalu

i dont think the browns will reach that far for odrick, especially when they could probably get him in the 2nd. other than that, its believable.

To RS and JBIC
I have seen McCourty play at Rutgers (which is my alma mater) and probably the reason I have so many mispellings to begin with… As far as insults go, I don’t waste my time and energy on them or attempt to roll down in the gutter and trade barbs, that some of you like to do…I admit that I get goofy on occasions with some of my thoughts, trade scenarios and my form of sarcastic humor, but I don’t believe in throwing insults or using foul language around and don’t encourage it here on this site
Back on topic…
The Key to this 1st Round for the Eagles is what the Falcons,Patriots,Packers all do with their selections right before them for they are in need and looking at a lot of the same type of players (CB,LB,DL,OL) A couple of surprises early may mean that a Iuapati,Graham,Thomas,Morgan &
Wilson could all fall back a few spots…
