Westbrook to visit the Broncos

Adam Schefter is reporting that former Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook is now heading to Denver to visit with the Broncos tomorrow. He was previously visiting the Washington Redskins but left sans a contract.

“Filed to ESPN: Fresh off visit with Redskins, former Eagles RB Brian Westbrook is now en route to Denver to visit the Broncos on Thursday,” he tweets.

The Broncos would probably love him as a third-down back (the only role it seems that any NFL team will offer him at this point). Obviously, last year’s first-round pick Knowshon Moreno is the feature back, with former Eagle Correll Buckhalter mixed in there as well.

It’s not known at this time if the Broncos have contacted Duce Staley in an effort to reunite the three-headed monster.
