Two-Year Old Son Of Randall Cunningham Drowns In Hot Tub

In a sad note, the two-year old son, Christian Cunningham, of former Eagles quarterback Randall Cunningham, drowned in a hot tub in their backyard.

Cunningham and his wife Felicity, were on their way back home from San Diego  at the time.   A friend of the family was watching the children at about 4:30pm Las Vegas time yesterday, when she discovered young Christian floating in the backyard hot tub.

The reports say she tried to revive him using CPR, then he was taken to the local hospital but they weren’t able to save him.

I remember Randall holding the little fellow much of the time he was on the field during his induction into the Eagles Wall of Fame last year.  He always talks about his kids every time I talk to him.

This has got to be a painful time for him and his family.  He and Felicity have three other children: Randall II, Vashti and Grace.

I encourage to say a prayer or two for Randall and his family during these difficult days.

Not only for Randall’s family, but pray for the one who was in charge of Christian’s care at the time. Imagine the weight she feels at this time. Lord, we lift them all up to You to comfort them and give them peace.

My prayers go out to Randall and his family. Losing a child, at any age and under any circumstances is tragic. Very sad.

My prayers go to the family, that’s a pain I wish no one had to experience.

No tragedy is worse for a parent than losing a child. May his faith give him and his family strenght to
overcome his grief.
