Williams is a game-time decision

Last week, the Washington Redskins were without their No. 4-overall draft pick Trent Williams at left tackle. That could also be the case this week. Williams will be a game-time decision with knee and toe injuries.

“He felt much better today and made some strides,” coach Mike Shanahan said. “The knee’s feeling good and the toe is a little bit sore.”

Shanahan said Williams is 90-95 percent healthy, but that can’t be accurate. Players play at 90-95% all the time.

“We’ll wait to see where he’s at in 48 hours,” Shanahan said. “It’s pretty close right now.”

If I had to guess, Williams won’t play. A lot of that assumption is based on Shanahan’s own admission this week that he tends to lie regarding injuries. He was asked on Friday if he’s honest with his injury reports. His answer?

“No.”

Williams’ reward for playing this week will be a nice afternoon with Trent Cole, who has already eaten a few tackles alive this season. Keep in mind that the Redskins’ offensive line is already about as brutal as the Eagles’.

Kory Lichtensteiger will probably be replacing Derrick Dockery at guard, because Dockery seems to be struggling with Shanahan’s zone blocking scheme. Lichtensteiger can get pushed around a bit, but he’s 33 pounds lighter than Dockery and much more nimble on his feet.

In short, there could be a lot of opportunities to get to McNabb this week.

What Mono wants: I want my D swarming like be…….. no like raging hornets, I want them stinging them fellas until they really are redskins. I want hits booming like thunder, i what the skins in a state of confusion when they see that wave of eagle intensity purging their O-line, Coooonfusion I say.

I want my Eagle brothers in the stands to cheer when McNabb comes on the field, make him feel loved, then continue to cheer every time my beloved defense gets their greeny green hands on him and wrestle him to the Linc’s hollowed ground. I want to see the Redskin Defense sucking wind like a couple old gold fish by the end of the first qtr, due to all that bluring eagle speed.

And i want eagles points, not a couple, I want a whole heap of them, i want points falling out of the sky, (Shut up its my dream) until they accuse us of running up the score.

Well that is what Mono wants: “So it is written, So let it be Done”. As always LONG LIVE THE EAGLES

I think after T Williams watched the Video of last week’s perfomance of T Cole just eating up the
Jags O/Line, He decided that he may need another week of rest

I love that vision Monolith!
This should be a game that the Eagles d-line can take over. I hope they get right after McNabb and sack the hell out of him. I wonder if the Eagles cheer will cheer once for Donovan and then after that will rock the house and focus their energy on cheering for the Eagles. The Eagles have to OWN this game right from the start all the way through the final seconds. Why not throw a shutout down on the Redskins?

Edogma I like the way you think my friend. Now I hope no one thinks that this game will be an easy one, though it would help me mightly in my pursuit of a happy sunday of football. Going to the sports pub hangout where the Skins people will be in mass. I was going to watch the game at home, but the eagle nation crew told me to be there, so there I shall be. LONG LIVE THE EAGLES
