Here’s The Eagles Preseason Schedule, If There’s A Preseason

If you’re excited by preseason football, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s the Eagles preseason schedule if there’s a preseason this year. Of course it could be abbreviated if they settle the labor problems late and get to camp late.

You will get the chance to see Michael Vick, DeSean Jackson and the Birds offense for a quarter or so against the Ravens. They’ll be on nationally television for the second game against the Steelers. The starters will probably play a half in that contest. They’ll play Cleveland in the next game, which will be the last preseason game for the starters. In the team’s final preseason game they’ll face the New York Jets, which would be a great battle if either team’s starters were going to play.

The Philadelphia Eagles today announced their 2011 preseason opponents:

Week 1 August 11-15 vs. Baltimore time/date TBA

Week 2 August 18 at Pittsburgh 8:00 pm (nationally televised on FOX)

Week 3 August 25-28 vs. Cleveland time/date TBA

Week 4 Sept. 1-2 at NY Jets time/date TBA

The Eagles 2011 regular season opponents are as follows:

Home: Arizona, Chicago, Dallas, New England, NY Giants, NY Jets, San Francisco, and Washington

Away: Atlanta, Buffalo, Dallas, Miami, NY Giants, St. Louis, Seattle, and Washington

Preseaon Record 1-3 (who care’s since they don’t count)

Regular Season 8-8 with Home losses to the Pats,Jets,Giants & Redskins
and Road losses to the Falcons,Seahawks,Dolphins,Cowboys

Vick misses 3 full games over the course of the season and gets knocked out of another… The Eagles Offense struggles with Kafka as the back-up (since Kolb was traded) The overall Eagle Defense improves but still gives up too many big pass plays thru the air as the CB’s/Safeties get caught out of position too often (and especially CB Assante Samuel)

@Paulman……. Asante had a great year last season……. I dont even think he gave up any td’s maybe except one on his side…….. Ellis Hobbs and Demitri Patterson were the one’s getting beat like a singapore hooker…….. The defense should improve with the likes of Chaney and Bradley on the field and if we convert Clayton to SS and get rid of Quinton Mikell who struggles in coverage…. The Birds should improve greatly……. I see us going 3-1 this preseason with a loss against Pittsburgh……

this season prediction……

Eagles go 12-4 and win the NFC East by two games……

Giants 10-6
Cowboys 7-9
Redskins 6-10

*Eli Manning is terrible….. He hasn’t shown that he can be the Qb he once was with plexico Burress….. Hakim Nicks is injury prone and can’t last 16-18 games in a season….

*Steve Smith who gets the ball often and plays the slot on 3rd down gets his fair share of punishment when he is keyed under a defense’s radar because thats Eli’s favorite weapon of choice….. He wont last

Kevin Boss….. NEED I SAY MORE……. Just a punching bag/sparring bag LOL!

Brandon Jacobs will be either traded or released this season…… Mark my word……

Justin Tuck/Osi Umenyouira stay hurt and will have a down season this year due to wear and tear…….

Cowboys…..HA!!!!!!!!

This team is ruined……. A banged up Marion Barber who might get his walking papers this season……… A defense who is getting old…… And a backfield that hasn’t proven anything……. Recipe for disaster……

MR. ED-DAHAN!!!!! A.K.A…… OLD FALSE TEETH…. The WSH DEAD SKINS…….. A team who doesn’t believe in his coaching ways……. The same way that denver lost faith in him the will happen in WSH……..

Asante had an excellent 1st half of 2010 Season but did very little the last
2 months when the games were bigger and more important, He did get dinged up midway thruy the Season and has that continual swelling of his knees problem which will likely continue for his remaining playing days.. Eagles need to address CB big time ..

I know 3 things about the Eagles CB Play
#1) A Samuel isn’t getting any younger
#2) Samuel’s knees will continue to bother him and swell from time to time
for his remaining playing days, making him less than 100%
#3) The Other CB position whether played by Patterson/Lindley/Hanson will not cut it versus the Top WR’s and QB in the NFL on a consistent basis.

Paulman, it is impossible for you to know what Lindley can/will do. Don’t kid us or yourself.

Also, can you tell us if the sky is blue, water is wet and/or people need to eat food everyday? I’m having a hard time sorting through obvious facts like whether football players get younger over time or whether football playing over time makes knees stronger.

Thanks

Samuels knee’s are degenerating quicker than just normal wear and tear per some of my sources from Jefferson Hospital, he has about 2 solid years left..before they really give him problems (similar to Westbrook’s final couple of seasons ,where the Knee swelling and pain is a every week issue and staying off and resting it is about all they can do, which will make him miss many practices and some games over the remainder of his career)
Lindley will be a good cover CB by 2012 Season, He will have his ups and downs like every young CB in the NFL. He just needs playing time and experience but I don’t expect him to be any type of shut-down CB this soon in his Career.

Paul, ok, whatever. Your source at Jefferson was breaking the law by releasing medical information to you (as I stated last time you tried to pull this trick, which ended in you admitting that you made it up 100% save for you actually knowing someone that works at Jeff). And even if I believed you actually talked to someone who works at Jefferson, who actually worked on Samuel, and that the information, whispered down the lane to you was reliable….(have to catch my breath…..ahh) …. even then it would be heresay at best. And not the least bit surprising or remarkable.

gotta – I bet paul, scorp (though he’s been MIA lately no?), and several others agree with you.

Sorry if my responses to Paul’s ‘thing’ bother you. And I’m happy for you that you find it entertaining. But personally, it pisses me off. And I’m not hindering his right to type it, just posting my opinion. I can just as easily ask ‘is anyone else getting tired of Paul’s ‘I know this information and I’m breaking it to you as news even though it’s entirely made up by me, just for fun’, and other posts have shown on this site that there will indeed be others.
