Yesterday Andy Reid released a statement on behalf of the Eagles coaches staff against the NFL Coaches Association which had issued a statement a couple of weeks ago where it sided with players against owners.
“The Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff was not aware that a brief was being filed by the NFL Coaches Association in the 8th Circuit Court against the NFL Owners last week. We were surprised by the filing and do not support it in any way.”
This isn’t a surprise and won’t be much of a factor in what eventual occurs in the lockout and the negotiations.
You know the coaches who want to stay on the payroll aren’t going to be squaring off against the owners. The Eagles coaches would have to be blind in one and eye and unable to see out of the other, to not see that they need to be grateful to the Eagles for not furloughing them or cutting their pay.
I got to thinking, the only coach that has won a SB on this team is Oline coach Howard Mudd, which is pathetic… our head coach hasnt as a head coach and our dline coach obviously hasnt…… Year in and out we have a front office with coaches in place that have been here for 12 yrs that havent won a SB, and now in year 12 they finally catch up with everyone else and begin signing coaches outside of the current regime that have won before not guys that youve given a pencil and clip board and told them there gonna be a dline coach or a LB coach with no type of experience… lets hope since andy n the front office will hear different voices from guys like mudd and washburn that theyll have some success leading us to a SB …
A pretty good source told me that the Eagle Cheerleaders and the National Association of Cheerleading will be coming out with a Public Statement to showe their support for th Owners also..Historians will look back at this moment as the tipping point in negoitiatins and the reason that Football was saved for 2011…
I hope fat slob REID gets all the players and coaches he needs to win a SB. Because when he doesn’t due to his controlling arogant way, he then will be hoisted with a crane on a flat bed truck driven to the nearest weight watchers to begin his recovery.
