LeBron James Was Wrong To Lash Out At Fans, He Should Apologize Immediately

It hurts to lose in sports. I can remember games I lost as a youngster in Midget League baseball when I was eight-years old. I remember losses in Little League at ten and eleven and how much they hurt.

The losses I endured in college at USC and in the National Football League were even more painful. It’s wonderful to win and the taste of victory is sweet, but you never forget the pain of losing big games.

I understand LeBron James is hurting today, but he is totally wrong to lash out at fans with comments about people, who don’t have his riches having to go back to their lives and their problems. As I said, I know he’s hurting today because I’ve felt that pain before, but you don’t verbally attack people.

That was a childish statement by James to have a verbal temper tantrum like that. That was a vicious statement and it won’t alleviate his pain along with his poor play down the stretch of those games.

He’s got to be man enough to immediately apologize for those statements. He’s hiding behind those statements. People say things they don’t mean when they’re trying to protect themselves, but he must apologize immediately.

These comments by James are going to be like throwing a match on a raging fire. People are going to go after James for those comments with some serious anger and hate. Hate isn’t right regardless of what James said.

He was wrong but that doesn’t make hate okay.

At the same time on the other side of the matter, for years I have heard the raging envy of people who hate professional athletes because of their success. Envy is an evil emotion. People hate because of envy. It causes people to say and do things to hurt other people because they’re envious.

Envy and hate are wrong. They will kill you. There are people in their graves right now because they were so inflamed with envy. Nobody makes you be envious, it’s a decision that you make.

There are only about 5000 professional athletes in the country. They aren’t living in these millions of huge homes and mansions in this country. There are many more rich people in this country who aren’t professional athletes.

I grew up poor, but our parents never talked about hating rich people. My mother used to clean house for rich people but I never heard my parents show any bitterness towards those people.

We were taught to be thankful for what we had, not bitter because of what somebody else had.

Too many people sit around and hate others because of their success. If you want to be a miserable person, sit around and hate people because of their money, accomplishments, fame and success.

We don’t need more hate in this world. LeBron should apologize immediately for what were some childish and foolish comments.

i disagree completly. He was asked the question and answered truthfully. I dont feel it was a lash out at all. Everyone hated him for leaving a city in witch he had been in for 7 years and never one a championship. Most people dont even have there current jobs for more then 7 years. I had a patient sit in front of me today telling me she was happy they lost because they acted like there were gods and they were gonna be unbeatable. I said to her and i quote ” thats not true because when they signed together, they clearly stated that the lakers were the current champions” And the media hammered them for that. If they would have said were gonna beat everyone the media would have hammered them for that. My conclusion is the media is to blame for all this garbage. They have turned all sports including football into soap operas!!! They have painted this picture to all the people that dont really know sports and dont really know that these guys have been wanting to play together for a long time and that they are all friends. Whats so horrible about that. You never worked with a friend, or wanted to play with a certain guy? Lebron is not jordan nore kobe so im dead tired of hearing the comparisions. But yet the media keeps bringing it up dont they!!! They are destroying sports and i feel that this wouldnt even be a big deal if it wasnt for them. INFACT, the so called decision show was a media personel’s idea. And he brought the idea to lebrons agent. Everyone hates him for it but it wasnt even his idea and the F’n guy dontated all the money to the boys and girls club, witch according to them helped them tremedously. Im tired of hearing about lebron and its the damn media who loves to stir shit up. Its what they live for. Lebrons comments are in response to media question. I have no problem with him speaking the truth and saying how he feels. Everyone is so worried about affending someone. Pussification of america. Who gives a crap i rather have 100 players that spoke there mind and the truth then being polictically correct all the time. Thats one thing ive always hated about andy reid! I wish at times he would get on that podium with some damn fire and hammer some fans and media.

And GCobb thats a definition of some of these people you have on this site, they hate on Lebron because of all his money and fame and they use his play on the court as a means to attack him. Even when he played GREAT during the boston and chicago series they didnt even want to acknowledge it… They hate him because of his life…

But i do disagree with you Gcobb where you said his comments were insulting. I dont feel they were, i feel they were real. Life does go on, we all are going to wake up with the same problems we had yesterday, today. He never mentioned anything about his riches or anything like that, you guys are putting words in his mouth because thats what you guys thought he was alluding to. I applaud Bron Bron for those comments!

Lebron has never learned the lesson of ‘humility” and until he does, he will never win anything or endear himself to the fans of the NBA or Sport Fans across the Country.. The Sad thing he doesn’t care what people think, but somewhere down the road, he will realize what a privilege and responsibilities that go along with being a Professional Athlete means.. It took Kobe Bryant a few years as a Pro to learn this lesson too.

i agree with jon hart. As far as humility. He was humble for 7 years in cleveland look where that got him. I rather him be real and speak his mind. People are way to soft now adays and believe every little thing they here. ITs why the government controls us through the media. And i still blame the media. ( love ya gcobb..i dont really consider you media hahaha because ive been with you since ustream when you had 5 people in a room listening to you).

I applaud DIRK for sticking with his team, through thick and thin, never selling out in order to get a ring.

Lebron is not a humble person, and for him to say that he’s rich and he doesn’t give a damn what peasants think of him (which is what he said in so many words), just shows what kind of person he is. He’s a POS that doesn’t have the make up or character to be a champion. Period.

Words of Lebron James after the Chicago Bulls series…..

“Uhhhh whats today’s date……. the 25th”,…… “which means we have a month left”……. “A month left of the continue”…… “the hate”!!!!! (Spoken by Lebron James) With Wade laughing beside him……..

So obviously Lebron did have a personal vendetta with fans/media……. But he portrays that he isn’t worried about what people have to say about him……???????

The Reason the media keeps jumping on LeBron is his arrogance, just like this loser Congressman Weiner and others they prey on. Own up, be a man about your shortcomings, disappointments and/or poor decisions and Americans (the media and fans will give you chance after chance) but come acroos as a arrogant, know it all, holier that thou character and the media will pounce and stay on you like bees on peanut butter for they love nothing to see a person at the Top fall, or love to expose a “fake” for what they really are.. LeBron by his immature actions/comments is only hurting himself and forget about the baskeball court, he has always wanted to make the kind of ipact that MJ made off the Court in the Busniess/Marketing/Advertising world.. Sorry, Lebron, you have no shot for ever being as succesful, for people genreally just don’t like you very much because of your arrogance, your surleyness, your pouting and your flat out making excuses, etc, etc, and Advertisers big and small are taking notes and scrathching LeBron James right off their list as potential spokesman…

I don’t need his apology. He should apologize to MIA for being a fraud and a choke. Just one question. Would Jordan pass the ball to Juwan Howard when the game is on the line or would he take the shot himself?

john hart and dawkplex should go get a room and sixty nine. I could careless how much money Lebron has he’s a douche. To compare him to Jordan is the biggest joke I ever heard. Paulman yesterday you said Jordan was’nt the best athelete. He was the best athelete, the hardest worker, and the most determined. Lebron is a joke, he buckeled and thats the truth. People love to hate A.I. but he never would have faded in the 4th quarter like that and thats a fact. Scottie said Lebron was better because he knows a fraud when he see’s one. How did he do on his own when Jordan went to play baseball? His coach did’nt even trust him enough to take the final shot. I know exactly what Lebron meant when he made those comments, I could give a crap. He said what he said and that’s fine, but don’t tell me what he meant. Lebron was’nt even a good role player in that series. Ask yourself this, which player on Dallas in the last 5 minutes of those games would you have taken off the court to put Lebron in? None, period. Lebron is Mcnabb

Dude. @Gotta, you don’t think that LeBron and Wade use their arms to create space? Are you watching the same games that I am? They also take 12 steps every time they make a move.

I want him to apoligize for wearing that headband so high up……… Thats the only apology I want from Lebron…….. It prevents sweat going into the eyes Lebron…… You forgot the rest of your forehead!!!!!!…… Sweat comes from there as well Queen James……….

Jason Terry isn’t ashamed of his Ultimate Warrior Hairline…….. And he rocks his headband the appropriate way……… Lebron is such a Diva…….

Boobie gibson and Moe Williams were very close friends with Lebron…… I wonder what Lebron told them to make them so angry with him……… Heres my scenario……….

This off season……… 3 way call!!!!!!!!

“Hello…….. (from Lebron)…… “Hey what up Lebron……..”whats good wit you fam…..” (Boobie Gibson)……. “What up Bron” (Moe Williams)…….. “Aint nothing”….. (Lebron)……. “Just looking at homes in Miami”, Cough!!!%%%, “I mean in Youngstown”……. LOL!!!

The media and Lebron are to blame.

He has been hailed the next Jordan way too early!!!

While he is a complete player it doesn’t guarantee a championship.

He seems to fold under pressure rather easily.

Chemistry wins a championship not superstars.

Lebron needs to figure out who he is and put aside his ego to get a ring.

Some players need to lose before they figure out how to win. Ask Jason Kidd.

I don’t hate LeBron for all his money and success, and no one else does either. That is one of the dumbest, most arrogant comments/statements fans or media make. People idolize righ professional athletes or entertainers. People hate certain ones, not because of their wealth and success, but how they act with it. LeBron is a selfish, arrogant, immature, cowardly douche. I used to like him when he was with Cleveland. The fact that he sold out showed that he has no heart. It also showed how selfish he was. That was the time I started to feel ill towards him then. “The Decision” showed how self absorbed he is, the arrogance from him when he did that show and joined the Heat. He acted like he already won the championship. The immaturity hit its peak with that comment he made. He has always been these things and I hate the fact that at one point I ever liked him. I used to hope he win championships and become the greatest player ever. Now I hope he never wins a championship, and I hope he receives a HUGE backlash from this comment.

He isn’t going to apologize. He looks down on everyone. He’ll eventually make a half arsed, fake apology, like he did a few weeks ago, for leaving Cleveland. He is as fake as fake gets & is a selfish, condescending, egomaniac, media whore who cares about nothing but himself. Who needs his apology, f^@k him. It won’t affect me one way or another anyway. I’m a Sixers fan. Unfortunately.

DDcar. So he looks down on people because he said everyone has to go back to there lives and deal with the problems they had before? Thats looking down on people? You and many others have been looking for reasons to hate him. Now your trying to twist his words in a weird distorted way… all this started over the heat throwing a pep rally and “the decision”, from that point you guys along with the rest of america has created this strong hate for him. Alot of it is anger over him not going to there respective teams this past offseason… But to say he doesnt care about anyone is ridiculous, hes done alot in the community and charities and other positive organizations, so DDCAR stop hating so much, its not conducive to your health…

Sir chokealot didn’t apologize, like we all knew he wouldn’t. Instead, he is trying to say that his words got misinterpreted. How do you misinterpret “All the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today, they have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal, but they have to get back to the real world at some point.”???

I am “LeBron’d Out”, I could care less about the Miami Heat, they lost to a better team, and played poorly in 4th Quarter of the NBA FInals and were beaten fair and squarely, end of story and time to move on for me.
No more comments by me on this subject for I could really give a rat’s ass about the LeBron or the Heat
