Is Jeremy Lin and This Linsanity For Real?

So is everybody feeling the “Linsanity” yet? I thought the Tebow hype was insane, Lin blows him out of the water. No pun intended. I have heard some great sayings already like “Carpe Linem”, you can’t say illuminati with out saying Lin. Awesome.

I have heard that Lin has clinched the NBA’s MVP, the GOP nomination, Nobel Peace prize and has won America’s Next Top Model. I also heard that his tears cure cancer. Sorry, Chuck Norris. Just saying..honestly I am trying to wrap my head around this whole thing. The only thing that kills this great story is that he is in New York. Man, I hate New York.

Lin, who went undrafted out of Harvard, played his rookie season with the Golden State Warriors last season. He appeared in 29 games averaging only 2.6 points and 1.4 assists. He was waived by the Warriors in training camp this year. Then he was picked up by the Rockets and he appeared in two preseason games for them only to be cut again. So this dude was cut twice already this year. The Warriors and Rockets have to be heated right now.

He was only picked up by the Knicks because of the injuries to Baron Davis and Iman Shumpert. This thing has more of a Philly ring to it then it does New York. I am such a hater. He was sent down to the D-league by the Knicks back in January. The Knicks actually thought about cutting him but Mike D’Antoni decided to give him a chance as the losses decided to pile up. That is when “Linsanity” went BOOM and the Knicks took off.

The best part about this is that he is doing this without Melo playing. This was supposed to happen to the Knicks when Melo came to the NY but he has actually hurt them more than helped them so far with his play. Melo: “Alright give me the ball, then I am going to chill with it for about 20 seconds then shoot a 25 foot fade away, ready break!” This should be very interesting when he gets back and especially with J.R. Smith reportedly joining them now. Not sure there are enough balls to go around. Man, why did it have to be New York?

Why!? Lin has won Eastern Conference player of the week already. He has just been named to the Rookie/Sophomores All-star game. He did this all in 7 games and he is 7-0. He has been very impressive. The kid does have skills. He could be over hyped a little bit though. It is only 7 games. He still needs to work on his jumper even though he buried a game winning three and he needs to learn to go to his left better.

I have this feeling I am going to end up wanting to throw stuff at him like batteries or something. I am kidding. Well, sort of. Thanks to him being in the NY and ESPN. New York over hypes everything.  I am telling you Lin is going to have his own update on the bottom line by next week on ESPN. “Lin has just woke up from his nap and peed for 10 seconds. Then he had some Alphabets cereal right after.” He did go to Harvard.

ESPN, I am sorry I think you have ruined a lot of stuff in sports. They are going to make half the people hate him and the other half love him. I will most likely end up not liking the dude. Just being honest here. If only he did not play for the Knicks… By the way Jeremy Lin’s favorite nickname so far is “Super Lintendo.” I hate him already, LOL.

The kid has brought excitment back to the Big Apple which has not been seen in years… Also to the NBA as a whole which is kind of struggling since some of their big name Teams got off to so-so starts (Celtics/Knicks/Mavs/Lakers/Magic)
Of course for local Philly fans, the Sixers have been a reason to get get excited but face it, 3/4 of the NBA Teams, no one really cares about… Charlotte/Washington?Cleveland,Detroit.Milwaukee. etc, etc… Linsanity has brought energy and excitiment back to the sport and who knows how long it will last.. but for now if it wasn’t for him and teams the like 76ers & Pacers and Memphis.. I would say this Season has been an overall letdown for the NBA..

paulman you got to be kidding me, you are to out of touch in Boone county, this has been the best NBA season since 2001 for sixer fans, the excitement here is palpable, except for the malaise at the nova care center, we are juiced, I like the flyers new defenseman, the Sixers will make a play off push, and pitchers and catchers this Sunday, beautiful, just beautiful

Im with you Jake.. paul is a bit outta touch living in the boones, i didnt even know paul watched basketball.. anyway, this has not been a letfown year, its actually been pretty exciting being that there is so much unpredictability…teams like the sixers, pacers, rockets even the bucks have suprised many in this shortened season… this has been a exciting year for the nba, i believe theyve gained fans back this year.

Lin is playing out of his mind right now.. i believe hes gonna start resembling a human being pretty soon but right now hes playing out of this world.. i wanna say hes a one hit wonder vanilla ice status but its too early to tell.. i need to see a few more games..

The sixers are locking down the defending champs, dirk is looking like he still has a championship hangover but the sixers defense is stifling.. they play championship style of defense.. i hope they can keep it up going into the second half.

I think it’s another conspiracy ordered by Commisioner Stern who was seeing his sport go down the tubes.in 2012 die ur to many big market teams nad big-name players just not playing well.. Stern and with the help and techmolooy of the Chinese Government have made mechanical rims that enlarge only when Lin shoots the ball, the Rims open up another 2.5 Centermeters in circumference , which is hard for the naked eye to see, but makes Lin’s shots go in much easier .. I also believe the Lin has Stolen Sensitive Nuclear Bomb Information for the Chinese too, but that’s another story for another post…
