Eagles Sign Mychal Kendricks To Four-Year Deal
BREAKING NEWS, Eagles, Linebackers, News Tuesday, May 8th, 2012
The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a four-year deal with their second-round draft choice, linebacker Mychal Kendricks. The youngster was the fastest linebacker at this year’s NFL Combine. He’s the first Eagles draft pick to sign a deal with the Birds.
The young backer will be battling veteran Jamar Chaney for the starting strongside linebacker position. I think he would be an outstanding weakside backer because he can run, get to the ball and make tackles.
He’s got great instincts and a nose for the football. Kendricks makes plays all over the field and has the ability to put a serious pounding on ball carriers. He gets his hands on footballs and can make plays in the run and passing game.
I think he’s a very good player, but I don’t like the idea of matching him up against the league’s tight ends, who stand 6’4′, 6’5″, and 6’6″.
He was the 2011 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year at University of California.

ha ha, I like your analysis and agree with you, In the Eagles Scheme, It doesn’t seem to matter much what side the TE’s line up for the OLB are defending their side of the field regardless so probably too much being made about Kendrick’s lack of height
Gracias amigo – no estoy loco -
can’t wait to get this season rolling along..
does the CBA list mins and max’s per round – how does the slotting work? Anyone understand that
I am not sure abou the contract deals with the new CBA.
I read that the players will all get 4-Year Deals and probably have some type of Salary Slot Range/Bonus Cap Limits for the 1st & 2nd Round Picks
