Pats have Gronkowski and Hernandez, how many Snaps would Shiancoe ever see.. Pats have more issues along OL and DL and Secondary than being able to carry an expereinced 3rd String TE making decent $$, Pats are good, but not that good to afford that luxury

G...you forgot Jaiquawn Jarrett.

I don't see the Eagles trading for Visanthe Shiancoe. They just wanted more competition in camp, probably another Donald Lee scenario where they brought someone in to get cut (a guy I personally thought should have made the team last year) but it's probably too late at this point. Clay Harbor has been progressing nicely as well. Also, given the Patriots injury issues last year and how it effected the offense it's unlikely they really want to trade a veteran TE.

Paulman's 2012 Eagles Defensive Roster
(24 on Offense I listed on Offense Post, 3 for Special Teams and 26 for the Defense)

DE (5) Cole,Babin,Graham,Hunt & Curry (Tapp gets traded after 3rd Preseason game)
DT (5) Jenkins,Cox,Dixon,Landri & Fletcher (Patters on PUP, then IR, then Retires)
LB (6) Ryans,Kendricks,Chaney as Starters, Matthews,Rolle and Jordan (Simmons to Practice Squad, Clayton Released)
CB (6) Asmo,DRC,Hanson,Marsh,Boykin & Kevin Thomas (C Harris to Practice Squad. Lindley and Hughes get released)
Safety (4) Allen,Coleman as Starters, Jarrett and Tom Nelson as back-ups and Special Teamers (Atogwe gets released, Phillip Thomas to Practice Squad, COlt Anderson on PUP List and possible IR for the Season)

2 Players I believe will be traded by the end of Camp will be DE D Tapp
(I see the Patriots in need of pass-rushing DE's and have 3 TE's in Gronkowski,Hernandez and recently signed V Sciancoe... Could the Eagles and Eagles make another summer trade Tapp for Schiancoe.. )
I believe the Eagles want to see HArbor progress and take the next step forward, if he does, then they probably feel good about their TE Situation, If HArbor is still inconsistent and up and down, then I belive the Eagles will bring a proven Veteran in..
The Other Player I believe the Eagles will trade is CB J Hanson who has Value out there as a 3rd/SLot CB and teams like the Lions,Vikings,Panthers could use CB help. I believe the Eagles will want to see how these young CB's Progress like Marsh,Boykin,K Thomas,Lindley,Harris, Hughes etc,etc and if they feel real good about their young guys, they make move Hanson and could probably get a 5th Round pick in return from a Team desperate for CB's after they see these young guys in a couple Pre-season games..

I like this D. The only thing i disagree with you about on this one G is that i think the LB's need to be working on tackling NOT "thinking turnovers". I know how important turnovers are but one MAJOR problem this D has faced for the last 5 years or so is that ALL they think about is turnovers. With a smashing Dline and speedy CB's, what we need from our LB's is solid reads and to bring their men down. Everything else is gravy.
