Report: Eagles And Michael Vick Agree To Restructure Contract

vick ravensThe Philadelphia Eagles and Michael Vick have agreed to a restructured contract that will keep the quarterback in Philadelphia for at least one more season.

Although the Eagles have decided to keep Vick in Philadelphia, they won’t commit to him as the starting quarterback. The team also announced that Vick will compete with Nick Foles for the starting job.

  1. Question to ponder.

When Mike Vick stinks again, plays 12 games, and puts up his traditional 17 tds and 14 ints, to go with his 11 fumbles…..

Will it be because Kelly didn’t “put him in a position to succeed?” Will it be because the system isn’t suited to MV7s “strengths?”

    • Your hate for Vick is way too strong. You need to relax. This is a new system. Like Chip said “Its a change of scenery but not a change of address”… I believe Vick will play his heart out and will play good ball. Im not throwing up what his stats will be but I believe it will be a good year for him under this new coaching staff as long as they keep the play calling balanced, or even run more than they throw..

      • JH, we all hope you’re correct, but history & reality says, he will struggle with TO’s, health, & defensive recognition! For Kelly’s jobs sake, he better be correct too. As they say, “You can’t teach an old dog, new tricks.” If not, this season is wasted, for the rebuild. The mind boggling thing about this is, he ain’t the future QB, & we ain’t going anywhere with him. We’ll see.

  2. I pray this is a move to make 7 more attractive to teams with an extra 7th rounder come April.

  3. Vick CAN NOT PLAY QB in THE NFL for any length of time (PERIOD).
A year with 7 at the helm is a year lost!

  4. If MV7 doesnt throw his 17 interceptions and fumble the ball 11 times. Then what? I guess all his haters will say he is lucky. I don’t care who the QB is. I just want to win. GO EAGLES.

  5. Jeff lurie and eagles are the laughing stock of tbe NFL, bottom of tbe barrel, deserving of a bottom of tbe barrel coach and quarterback , perfect for one another

  6. @daggolden
“Good news Eagle Fans Chip Kelly has declared a open competition at QB. Nick Foles has nothing to worry about Vick sucks. Why is everyone is so worried?”

Because apparently for many on hear who’ve hated on Vick from the time he became the starter; it really never was about the best player winning the job. That’s why many can make racist comments and not be called out on it. All but quit on the team just because Vick’s the qb, but no one says good riddance like most did to Songs. If Foles is really any good, then he will be the starter. Just like Stevo said all along. Not a damn thing should be ceded to any unproven with no pedigree. And I like Foles. But he’s nothing special. He accounted for himself ok last year. He passed my eye test. Something the bum Kolb never did.

  7. Still lmao at the frauds who have already given up on their team. Now Kelly doesn’t know anything because he’s keeping Vick. lmao…too funny

    • You mean “too racist”… these guys are coming out of the woodwork today haha.. I dont know whos angrier, the Philly media or the Gcobb.com racist posters over Vick’s return haha..

  8. well in the words of the great philosopher DJax….

    “It’s a no brainer”

  9. Some of you on here are either delusional or just don’t know football he way you thnk you do. It’s NOT A LONG TER DEAL! I repeat IT’S NOT A LONG TERM DEAL!
Mike Vick is a stop gap nothing more. This is a win win situation for everyone EXCEPT Vick. He’s flat out being used to implement the new system not expected to take us to the SB. Use your heads guys. It’s a one year deal. If he plays well we get some fun and good memories. If he sucks we get. Top five talent in next years draft. Did any of you really expectt us to compete next year? That’s laughable. This wil
Be Kelly’s show me what you got year as far as deciding who says for the long haul. Calm dwn and breathe easy guys. We’re gonna be ok. Peace to all except you ES. Gtfoh off our site with that garbage.

    • So you’re saying, that with this move, we can expect a competitive team again in 2015. Right?

This year with Vick “implemeting” the system.

      2014 with a rookie struggling.

      2015 out the other side.

I thought that process could have been sped up a year, as we’ve already had 6 games of a rookie struggling (and improving every week) Looks like we’re going to abandon that….and start again in 2014. Good times.

      Eagles in 2015!!

      • Vinnie,

It may be many years before I can watch this team with any pride again.
If a season must be “wasted” at least put in young guys who will learn to play together so when a real leader arrives they can be a team.

The owner must still be rooting for the impossible so he can make a movie because 7 is not and never has been nor ever will be an NFL QB.

  10. concrete?

Any QB the Eagles bring in would only be a stop gap with no chance of winning a Super Bowl.

    So what’s the difference?

    • Young QB learning to get better and maybe build trade value or prove himself a starter here is much different than a washed up running qb that will net us nothing in the long term.

Sticking with Vick one more second is SHORT SIGHTED LUNACY!!!

  11. Howie Roseman said Vic can or will evolve.
Definition: to develop or cause to develop gradually.
How many more years does Vick need to EVOLVE. Howie, you are a master with words. Some day, far into the future, you will evolve into a student of the game. Vick is eroding faster than he is evolving. SFB

  12. Everyone knows that Mike Vick is the Eagles quarterback because nobody else wants him. Vick was willing to take a $5.5 million pay cut because he had no other options.

And some of you guys are happy to have a quarterback that nobody else in the NFL wants. Some of you are happy to have Vick as your quarterback even though you know he will never win a super bowl. That’s a concept that I just don’t understand.

Have you seen anyone with Vick’s skill set win any super bowls? Does Vick play anything like Brees, Flacco, Rogers, Manning, or any of the other super bowl winners?

The only thing we can take comfort in is knowing that Vick will still be Vick next year and he is out of excuses.

  13. Irish?

no one is interested in Foles or Edwards either.

  14. Vinnie you knew this would happen as soon as they hired Kelly just like I did. I think chip wants a Star level Qb and there are none to be had right now. Foles doesn’t fit so why not go with Vick while you are still building? Right now he’s the “sacrificial lamb”. We are offering him to the Football Gods in hopes that our faith will bring us a savior in the form of a real “franchise QB” or J. Clowney. I’m willing to sacrifice next season for a chance at the big time. Maybe I’m crazy but F it.

  15. It appears that Percy Harvin is available. If its true, Chip/Howard need to put a call in to the Vikings and Percy’s agent. Imagine Percy in Chip’s offense… They would be lining him up all over the field.. gives you alot of options offensively

    • We have percy harvin- D Jax basically same guy.

      • Percy is more versatile than DJ, you can line Percy up in the back field as a RB than spread him out wide as a wide out, hes a threat all over the field. The birds should look into acquiring him

        • Percy Harvin, is an extreme health risk. He hasn’t been fully healthy for one season that he has been in the league. Smart GM’s would stay away. He’s just a name that everyone on GCobb will want, but in reality would be a hindrance because he will never stay healthy.

He is no more or less versatile than DeSean, but some will reason that way because they personally don’t like DeSean. But I would want DeSean Jackson, instead of Percy Harvin.

          • GM im a huge DJax fan. Both guys are health risk honestly. But I like the options you get with percy hes more versatile when healthy.. But I obviously really like DJax, when he’s on his game hes one of the best WRs in the game

          • Percy Harvin’s Football Career and health has gone down hill every year since he was a Junior at the University of Florida
He has a condition of getting Migraine headaches and Dizziness that cost him a couple of games a year, misses a lot of practices, then has beg leg, ankle and back issues on top of this.. I stay far, far away from Percy Harvin who most likely will be out of the NFL within 2 more yearS

  16. Fuck that noise. Sacrifices are bullshit in this league. Bring in a rookie and give him the keys or play a young guy on the roster. 33 year old running qb’s do one thing well. Get coaches fired.

Vick is Cough “good enough” cough to win a couple of games and cost us a chance at a real good pick next year.

Remember with out vick we may have had a new coach and a chance for Luck or RG III. but no we went 8-8 with no hope for the future.

This whole team still stinks- I hope by the end of training camp they have found some soap. (Hint it’s near the pink slips or – where you hand in your playbook if you are OVER 30.)

Come on Coach Kelly dont repackage bullshit and try to sell me a whif. I quit smoking.

  17. regal? how old is Eli? how old is Romo?

  18. The vitriol is funny.

It’s a competition guys. If Foles wins he’s the QB. And since many of you think Vick is worst than Snachez then ya’ll should be sitting pretty.

If Vick beats Foles he’s the starter. If Foles can’t beat Vick then he doesn’t deserve to start.

  19. Songs, get off Vicks jock, He flat out sucks, the more important issues are is there really any improvement with Kelly and his band of losers he has surrounded himself with, in total his coaches have a career winning percentage below .400, I don’t give a shit if that hapless Vick or foles leads the offense, it doesn’t matter, especially with this puss d coordinator they hired

Wake up eagles fans, it’s not about the quarterback, it’s about the coach, and its disconcerting that this little pudge wacker Kelly is taking direction from the ultimate pudge walkers Lurie and Roseman , so ultimately like Reid it’s about ownership, management imposing its flawed preference for a social agenda

Wake up songs, decrie this latest move as another of a long list of eagles front office moves forcing the esgles into oblivion

  20. 2012 qb rankings

    comp % Vick 24th, Foles 15th
    yrds/game Vick 16th Foles 13th
    td% Vick 24th Foles 31st
    int% Vick 18th Foles 5th
    Sack % Vick 27th Foles 24th

One a rook, the other in the NFL since 2011 year veteran.

Last time Mike Vick won a playoff game, Nick Foles was 14 years old.

Foles, if given a fair chance, will win the job during TC next year.

    • here we go again. 1 more year of you crying.

The deal is 7 million. Not bad.

As ive said before…. lets see what these 2 guys can do running the same kind of O.

Im (almost) excited to see what we can do with WR’s running underneath and across the middle instead of Bombs away.

      Now…. about the real problem…. the D.

  21. I would have understood and respected more a decision to go with Dixon, a relative unknown at the nfl level, but this decision to resign Vick, a known commodity who has consistently underperformed , sucked, once again tells me it’s Lurie imposing his will on the coach about quarterback, like he dd with Reid beforehand

I feel sorry for you dumb asses who follow Philly sports only because of the eagles, there is a greater team base to follow withou this dysfunctional eagles team in the way, long live the phillies. Flyers sixers

    • Jake he is a better player than Dennis “Practice Squad”Dixon. Period Brother. I kept saying it , but people were so blinded from reality, because they insisted on moving on from Vick. But, we would take several steps back; – more than we would with Vick – , signing Dennis Dixon.

No wew are not going to win a Superbowl with Vick, but we have a better QB on our roster, at this time than Dixon.

  22. bogus jake. Kelly is free to do as he wishes. Dont give me that. I dont want vick either but….. lets not make snit up.

  23. Just following instincts stevo, might be wrong, but probably right

    • i would actually go the other way. If FOLES was named QB i woul have assumed the F.O. made the QB part of the deal. Lets look at what Vick gives Lurie…..

      1) Costs but loads more.
      2) The blue color guys hate him.
      3) Most americans hate him for the dog thing.
4)Most eagle fans hate him because of the turnovers.
      5) PEDA

Perhaps….. just maybe…… Kelly is not convinced that Foles is a H.O.Fer like Vinnie thinks.

Perhaps he thinks Bombs away and no oline was PART of the reason Vick couldnt play ;last year.

Perhaps Kelly liked the fact that Vick didnt throw guys under the bus and just played.

Listen…. i wanted Vick out of here too but I said I would let the coach make the call and I would give it a short shot.

      • Come on Stevo, get your shit together. You’re a mess today with all the typos, and now you say something absurd like “Perhaps Kelly liked the fact that Vick didnt throw guys under the bus and just played”…Dude he threw the entire team under the bus after the season was over…with his I wish i could play the other positions too BS. Its actually pretty laughable because he has the audacity to throw others under the bus when he sucked just as bad. Just fucking ridiculous that someone could call out others for not doing their jobs when they don’t do theirs. But hey Vick isn’t the smartest guy out there so what do you expect. Nor is he a leader, which this team desperately needs. You think Djax could of got away with his lackadaisical effort in his contract year if Brady was his QB? Brady would have made him invisible. And thats one thing that really irks me is that where is the accountability from the past 2 pathetic seasons? Chip had a chance to put some dignity and pride back in this team but instead we still have the same pathetic career losers on this team like Vick. Like Nnamdi, who might be the biggest thief in the city aside from Bynum. Complete useless garbage players like Casey Mathews still have a job. This team should have been gutted after Bell was released. just the truth.
JK about the typos, posting with your phone is a bitch

        • Haha… jk. Vick played with heart this year. Sorry… its true.

          • Thats not funny. But do whatever you have to do to make yourself feel better for being illiterate today. Sorry you posted some nonsense I called you out on. Played with heart? Chad Hall played with heart. I guess we shoulda kept that bum here too.

        • Problem is Mike should have thrown their noplaying asses under the bus sooner than he did, funny you don’t have a problem with any of them. No he didn’t suck, do you really think Brady could have played behind that line, dam do you think Brady would have even agreed to play behind that line….answer is HELL NO …. What’s really laughable is that you didn’t see any of that, you missed the fact the defense wasn’t crap, the special team wasn’t so dam special, and lets not even talk about the dam oline, because there wasn’t one. Vick has been covering for this dysfunctional line since he came to town, granted they were a little better in 2010, which is why Reid kept Kolb out, knew he would survive behind that line, 2011 the defense forgot how to play lost all kinds of leads, 2012, there weren’t but a few players who showed up at all on both sides of the ball, but all you can see is Mike Vick….GET REAL, Mike Vick was the least of the problems. Pathetic most of these comments are just that pathetic yours included.

  24. I wonder how many times Vick will fumble in practice when nobody is allowed to hit him?

I wonder how many picks Vick will throw in practice with no pass rush in his face?

I wonder how many injuries Vick will suffer in practice when nobody is allowed to hit him?

Yeah, I think Vick could outshine Tom Brady in practice and win a competition. And that’s good enough for some of you guys…

    • most of his turnovers did not come when he was trying to make something happen… but mostly from the pocket just trying to be a qb. That actually concerns me more.

who would be ok with a great vick practice and bad in games Irish? who would?

    • agreed

  25. I respect your insight gm cliff, but to me this is a a reactionary move not forward thinking, that was my thought process about sign inning Vick for another year, Dixon was not reactionary, but forward thinking for better or worse…

But the Vick experience is failure , and more failure to come, the eagles are without direction on both sides of the ball, almost makes you want Reid back again

  26. Well well well everybody was ready to run Vick out of town, gmcliff, realtalk, songs and myself to name a few keep saying at a reduced salary he would be back. The first clue to anyone who listens was when Kelly basically blamed the system that Vick was playing in for the majority of his turnovers but most of you guys didn’t listen. As for the coach killer label I guess Vick hired Castillo/Mudd and Washburn. Mora Jr was and is a clown who got himself fired from two jobs I don’t think Vick ever played for Seattle. This is a win win for the Eagles and Vick he plays well in Kelly’s system he stays until a new QB is groomed, he fails it’s only a one year deal.

    • “Kelly basically blamed the system that Vick was playing in for the majority of his turnovers but most of you guys didn’t listen.”

when he led the league in fumblesunder Reves…the system
when he led the league in fumbles under Mora….the system
when he led the league in fumbles under Reid….the system

If Kelly thinks his “system” is going to solve that problem he’s in for a rue awakening.

“he fails it’s only a one year deal”
And we waste another year again. Then groom a Qb in 2014, and perhaps competitive in 2015….though with a new coach at that point I’m sure.

      • If listened to the press conference today Kelly likes his skill set didn’t care for the offenses he’s played in an said every turnover a QB has is not his. Go argue with Chip Kelly he obviously doesn’t know what he’s talking about. How do you know starting Foles wouldn’t be throwing away a year?

        • I don’t. But at least it would be throwing a season away with a 24 yr old kid who has a lot of promise, and might turn into something.

Instad we’re going to throw the season away with a 33 yr old never has been and never will be.

          That’s beyond disappointing.

        • They only hear and see what the want. And of course they know more than Kelly LOL

  27. who would be ok with a great vick practice and bad in games Irish? who would?

    Stevo,
Lot’s of people on this site would be happier to see the Eagles lose with Vick than to win with another QB.

How else do you explain people rejoicing because a guy with a 10-13 record over the last two years is going to be the starting QB? That’s like being happy to have Matt Cassel.

  28. Exactly biglion.

  29. Bottom line this is all on Kelly, Irish nobody is happy with 4-12. I was tired of everything wrong with the Eagles being Vick’s fault you guys can spin it any way you want but Kelly has decided that Vick and Foles will compete and he thinks his system will work for Vick so now he’s an idiot instead of a offensive genius. Funny how that works

  30. The deal is getting better and better. If hes traded… its 3.5 mil. As always… birds know how to work the cap.

    • And they could have cut him and it would have been nothing.

There’s no need to pay a guy 3.5 when you could have gotten rid of him and paid him nada.

I’ll take Chip for what it is – there will be a comp and the best QB will win.

  31. Well I’ll say this Biglion, if Vick starts next year it will be the first time I can think of where a 4-12 team fires the coach and brings back the losing QB when he’s a veteran. It would be different if Vick was a rookie or second year guy, but a 4-12 season and a coaching change normally means goodby for a vet QB.

When a team brings in a new coach to turn around a 4-12 team the last thing most people want is a fresh start with a proven loser.

    • Except when the incoming coach doesn’t see an immediate upgrade. Why give up draft picks you need for Alex Smith? He probably doesn’t see anything in the draft he likes. He likes Vick let’s just see how this shakes out none of us know.

  32. I’m curious…

When Vick fails again next year (and he will) in a system that I’ve read 8 million times is perfect for his “skill set”…..

What kind of excuses will I read then?

    Bad playcalling?
    Read-option is a gimmick?
Should have drafted an OT and not a DT?

    • LOL.

Why are you have a hissy fit?

Let’s say they trade him – no harm no foul.

Or what happens is what Chip says – they have a comp and since Foles is so much better Vick is the starter. Everyone can be happy and all is well.

So what ‘s the problem? Afraid your guy can’t handle the competition?

      • No.

Foles will be better in TC and preseason, just like he was last year (and just like he was in the regular season).

But for whatever reason, Vick will still “win” the job, only to be replaced by week 6. Either through injury or a rioting fanbase.

So I’m not that upset…..this just means I have to sit through a few more games with MV& at the helm.

In fact, the whole thing is pretty comical….another coach in a long line of coaches that think Vick is a salvagable project. How coach after coach can be enticed by the siren song of Vick’s perceived “talent” is strange. I thought Kelly would be different….but I guess not.

        • Not just Vick, look around Vinnie coaches all think the systems they run will fix every player someone else hates. Carson Palmer, Jay Cutler Kevin Kolb the NFL is littered with guys like that.

          • And they are all wrong.

The only logical move for Kelly would have been to go all-new at the position. Be that Foles or a QB at the draft. I would have enen understod the bringing in of Dixon (though I wouldn’t have liked it) – for at least he’s familiar with Kelly.

This? This makes no sense at all, and we’re now going to have to waste another 1/3 of a year watching mr herky-jerky out of control turnover boy fumble away the first 6 games of the season.

Then Foles will be back in and the offense will have to change week 7 screwing everyone up for a couple more weeks.

        • LMAO!

“(and just like he was in the regular season).”

You mean all those games he won? Oh wait…

You mean he played so well to be the starter going into the season. Oh wait…

          • He certainly didn;t win more games…neither did…but he did throw for more yards, complete a higher amount of passes, toll less picks (% wise), and leade the team to more points every game.

            Ergo…..better.

            • The team also rushed for more yards, found the end zone a bit more on the ground….etc. etc.. etc…Why did Brown have better games than McCoy? are we saying Brown is better than McCoy now too?

              • Myth. Myth and more myths.

The Eagleas pass % increased under Foles. You know this, but you ignore it, because it doesn’t fit your story.

  33. Mike Vick hater’s nightmare lol
I don’t think its a big deal first year coaches the sucessful ones over the long haul usually start with a vetern stop gap qb and a young understudy. Andy had doug Peterson for god sakes. the draft hasn’t happened so we don’t know even if a QB is in the plans there. Foles is ok but he turned the ball over with fumbles and ints just like Vick did he loss games just like Vick did so to me it doesn’t really matter as long as the coaches that get paid to decide who plays feel comfortable im with it. if we all agree this team is not superbowl ready we all know next year if for kelly to figure out what works and what he has. If it is Vick or Foles we arent winning at least with Vick you don’t waist a year on Foles and he keeps whatever value. there is also an chance Chip kelly stink’s regardless of who the QB is so just calm down and wait and see. For all we know Foles could be going to KC and vick could be the Doug Peterson for Dixon lmao Philadelphia Browns lol

  34. “Andy had doug Peterson for god sakes. teams usually start with a vetern stop gap qb and a young understudy.”

That doesn’t play in this case.

When Reid brought Peterson in it was because he was a smart guy who knew the offense down pat having been in GB under Reid for years.

He could teach McNabb and Wrs etc where to go/what to do. He’s now a QB coach.

Is this the case here? Has Vick ever run Kelly’s offense? Ever practiced it?Who is he suppoed to teach when he’ll be learing it himself?

Besides, the idea of someone being Vick’s understudy is laughable at best.

As for the Foles turnovers…..please remember that 8 of the 13x he fumbled or threw a pick were in his first game and 1/2…that he only had 2 ints over his next 5 games. He hd an early problem and he corrected it in a few games….something we’ve never seen the former superstar do over a decade,

To think he’s suddenly going to change now is….well, the exact same as it was the year before, and the year before that….absurd.

  35. Vick playing for the eagles = Short sighted Lunacy.

Not one more cent will you get from me Mr. Lurie. Not a single cent until you end this Failed Experiment.

  36. I thought some of you fools would have jumped off a local bridge by now…..LMAO Sure would have been nice

  37. This analyst is a low key racist idiot that knows nothing about football. Why would you get rid of Vick when foles went one and 7? why would you just give foles the job? Foles got hurt to because of that horrible oline. Alot of these people and analyst are flatout racist

  38. Whether we like it, or not, this is situation boys, & we got to see what happens now. If he starts, is BU, gets released, gets traded, or not, we’ll be rooting for the Birds regardless, & be right on here again killing them with vitriol, when they inevitably fail this year.

  39. It seems losers change the conversation when it’s clear their remarks contradict.

He’s 33!!!! when others are named at the age who are considered young at the QB position…they switch to a different argument. Just say you don’t want him and stop the lame reasoning.

    • No one thinks any 33 yr old QB is young. Stop making shit up.

Besides, MV is not the same as another 33 yr old QB who gets hit 1/4 as much and has less mileagge. MV is a 33 yr old running back.

  40. Vinnie=cry
    Stevo=laughing

    • Crying for another lost year coming up? I suppose.

But its more frustration. I am always disappointed when people make stupid decisions, and do stupid things. Keeping Vick is a stupid thing.

You on the other hand rejoicing. You don’t care what is best for the team, only that your hero gets one last kick at the can.

  41. I’ve made plenty of arguments about moving on from Vick that I am tired of talking/posting about it.. To me, it’s not his age, it’s his carelessness with the Ball and the fact that the he’s not played a entire 16 Game NFL Schedule since 2006.. Not sure that there is much to be said about rebuilding a Team with Vick at the helm.. Strictly a 1 Year Stop-Gap who still could be Traded, or Beat out by a 2nd Year QB Foles or a new QB not even on the Roster Yet..
Kelly is keeping it close to the vest and wants the Security of having Vick around for this Season to at least give him a chance with his System instead of being BOLD and making the Diffcult Decisions which are required to move this Frtanchise Forward.. We will look back at his conservative approach in his first season and say, “Kelly, should have moved quicker in cutting the chord with the older players to get his guys in place..” Time will tell and soon we will know if Kelly is going to make any difficult decisions about some the underperfoming Veterans on this Team (Asmo,Jenkins,Cole,Herremans, Patterson,Jordan, etc, etc)
It appears it’s more like the Status Quo which is very disappointing to see.. A new Coaching Staff with this same Core of Players does not excite me one bit for the upcoming Season, and do remember this Core Team of Eagles are 12-22 in their last 34 NFL Games so to me, it’s not like your letting a lot of “Good Players” go..
I think the Eagles Front Office and Kelly are too chicken shjit to cut the chord with Veteran PLayers when in fact this is exactly what they should be doing, maybe hanging onto them since Roseman had a hand in acquiring many of the them.. Kelly has no connection with these past mistakes and should get rid of Players who he and his Staff feel like they are not a fit for them, theres no sense in waiting to SUmmer Camp, so the next 2 months will be interesting to watch unfold.. but if Kelly continues to hang onto this Veteran Core of Players who have been Overpaid,Coddled, and have Underperformed and if Kelly keeps them for 2013, and ends up with another sub-par Season, then Kelly’s Start of his Legacy is tainted and will be questioned and I don’t want to hear about some of the PLayers being a GM Roseman or former HC Andy Reid problem..If Kelly, sticks with the Status Quo, then he now owns this Team which to me with the recent 2 Year performance of most of these Players, why even take the risk for little chance of reward.. Cut the Chord, Wipe the Slate Clean, and there is no better time to do this as a New Coach, then over this next 6-8 Weeks..
Fans are not going to hold Chip Kelly responsible for the bad Draft Picks, the poor Free-Agent Signings, or Poor Contracts to Players that were done previously, but if he keeps some of these Players around, then he will share in the blame for just more poor judgement and decisions by the Leadership of the Eagle Franchise.. Good Luck Chip..
