Michael Vick And Nick Foles Start Out Splitting The 1st Team Snaps

michael-vick-trent-edwards-nick-folesThe Eagles are practicing and Chip Kelly has got the Eagles players executing his uptempo offense and high repetition practices.  Michael Vick and Nick Foles split the snaps with the first team and Dennis Dixon even got the chance to get some reps.  Kelly says it’s no big deal right now, but everybody is trying to read every slight gesture for an idea of which quarterback has the advantage at winning the starting quarterback job.

“There wasn’t one set guy that just went with the ones the entire day,” Kelly said. “All those guys got an opportunity to roll through.”

Kelly is eager to give his players as many reps as possible to get a chance to learn his system.  Football is played on muscle memory, that’s why coaches emphasize the repetition part of the practices because that when the coach trains the team and the players train their bodies.

Kelly is anxious about getting the process started and utilizing every second he can to allow his players to work because practice time is much more limited now than it was in the past.

“I don’t care who is in with the ones, who’s in with the twos, we just got to make sure we got 11,” Kelly said. “Let’s roll and let’s get reps and let’s get some film that we can teach off of.”

WR Keenan Allen fail Marinuana Test at Combine, had average work-outs on Pro Day, did not participate in Senoir Week or do very well in Zingerviews and will most likely a Mid 2nd Rounder at this point..

Everyone bashes Nick Foles for not having any mobility for some reason. I was watching NFL Network and they were saying that he cannot be the future of the FRANCHise because he lacks great movement and mobility in the pocket.. UMMMMM….. Go watch some of his highlights, especially his 1st year in the league. People are going to be shocked by how much mobility this guy really has.. Its unbelievable the way he can move in the pocket and make a play last, especially behind that POS Oline last year

Damn Strait Dude. We are foolish not to give this kid a chance. I see lazy reports “based on Vicks salary he clearly has the upper hand” I think based on vicks salary that if it is even a close competition you kick the old controversial number 7 and his 7 million out the door and play a 20 something kid that will get better to have a shot at earning his way to a big contract.

Pocket Awareness ==> Foles has it. I think we have a better shot of Foles being a Franchise qb than the jets have of the Sanchise turning up rose for them.

Only thing about Nick Foles is his accuracy throwing the deep ball. Against Tampa Bay he had the best game of his NFL career but thats not saying much because TB has a awful secondary. While I think Nick Foles is a good player im not at all interested in seeing him play under Chip Kelly. You dont sign Chip Kelly to run a conventional offense. I want guys that can scramble and guys that throw a mean deep ball. Its all about up tempo quick releases and reading the defense within 1.5 seconds after the snap.

Can the NFL put Chip Kelly on Probation for his jack of oversight while at Oregon?? Did Lurie, Rosenan question him about infractions,
Was he honest with them?? I am not so sure that this story about Iregon us a way to build a new relationship as a HC in the NFL.. A lot more to come out about his mid-handling and looking the other way which could put a real damper on his Start with the Eagles, I’m sure that Lurue has got to be pissed about thus ordeal..

If they are running a fast uptempo offense then deep balls dont make sense as they slow down play. Run after catch west coast concepts with guys willing to block and an accurate short to medium passer that uses the whole field make more sense.
