Eagles quarterback Nick Foles was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for the month of November. There may be better quarterbacks in the league than Foles, but there’s nobody who has been playing better.
His quarterback rating of 152.8 is the highest rating for a quarterback in an entire month in NFL history. You read that right. His 152.8 quarterback rating is the highest for a quarterback in an entire month in NFL history.
How do you get better than that? You play on or near that level with everything on the line. That’s what his task is now, play great with the playoffs on the line. The Birds can make the playoffs by winning the NFC East division crown or getting in as a Wild Card team.
Foles is the fourth Eagles quarterback to receive that award. Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick have all received the award in the past.
Well deserved.
If this kid was a first round pick the national media would be going crazy right now, as of now they are all acknowledging him but theirs that BUT at the end, there was no BUT when it came to RG3 and Luck last year or even Wilson. But Eagłes are tight Cap-Wise and if Foles plays well and leads the Team to Playoffs and even right down to the end, you figure he will be due a decent Raise and new Contract from his Rookie Deal meaning more difficult decisions for GM Roseman about the other Highly paid Players under Contract

Foles will only be going in to year 3 of his 4 year rookie deal. They won’t be re-negotiating a guy with just 12 starts (at end of year) regardless if they make the playoffs or not.
At best they’ll start thinking about a new deal mid-way through next season if he continues to play well.
Desean and Peters represent something like 22 million of the Eagles’ 120 mil cap next year. That’s a lot.
I also expect a re-working of Desean’s deal to free up some space.
Peters re-negotiated to a more cap friendly deal or released? A strong possibility.
And at best one more year of Cole…after next season, his cap hit becomes ridiculous.
