Notes From The Phillies’ 7-4 Win Over Miami

byrdmanThe Philadelphia Phillies snapped their three-game losing streak on Tuesday night, taking down the Marlins 7-4. Their record improves to 35-41.

  • David Buchanan pitched five innings, and allowed two runs six hits and four walks.
  • The Phillies offense came to life, scoring seven runs on seven hits. They knocked in four in the first two innings, and had another three-run outburst in the sixth.
  • Jimmy Rollins went 2-2 with a walk and scored a run.
  • Marlon Byrd went 1-4 with a two-run homer.
  • Cody Asche went 1-4 with a double and knocked in two runs.
  • Ben Revere went 1-4 with a triple.
  • John Mayberry started in left for the struggling Domonic Brown, and went 0-3.
  • Mario Hollands worked a scoreless sixth.
  • Ken Giles struck out two in a clean seventh.
  • B.J. Rosenberg, recently recalled from Triple-A, allowed two runs on three hits in 0.2 innings pitched.
  • Jake Diekman recorded the final out in the eighth.
  • Jonathan Papelbon earned his 18th save of the year.

Phils signed Grady Sizemore. The signing that puts us over the top. WS BAAAABY!!!! Dom Brown is taking some time off for little mental break. Get rid of the f^#@ing mutt bust already! Still can’t believe, that .300 Monty, Ruin 2morrow, Marti, don’t call me “Marty” Wolever are still running this organization into the ground?!?!? They are already 6 feet under, can they reach China????
