Final Thoughts

Things are starting to get ugly between Ryan Howard and the Phillies.

After sitting Howard for the second straight game, manager Ryne Sandberg came out and acknowledged that the former MVP could be in a platoon situation.

Howard evaded questions after the game. When asked about the situation, the first baseman simply said “Talk to the manager…bye talk to the manager.”

There have also been all kinds of reports about the Phillies trying to the move on from Howard, working hard to trade him, or even just flat out releasing him.
