NFL Week 3 Picks

sprolesSan Diego @ Buffalo

The Chargers may be primed for a letdown after last week’s surprising win over Seattle, but I just can’t see the Bills starting the season 3-0.

Pick: San Diego 24, Buffalo 23

Tennessee @ Cincinnati

The Titans’ mediocre offense is just not going to be able to generate enough points against the powerful Cincinnati defense.

Pick: Cincinnati 27, Tennessee 10

Baltimore @ Cleveland

I don’t like how the Ravens are constructed right now. I think their offense is too unreliable to count on week to week, and Cleveland is a team that has played both the Steelers and Saints very tough through two weeks. I think the Browns make another strong stand at home, and improve to 2-1.

Pick: Cleveland 24, Baltimore 17

Green Bay @ Detroit

A potential shootout between two of the game’s most explosive quarterbacks. I’ll take Aaron Rodgers until Matt Stafford and the Lions actually prove that they can have some success against legitimate teams.

Pick: Green Bay 31, Detroit 27

Indianapolis @ Jacksonville

Must-win for the Colts. The Jaguars offense is just horrendous, they really don’t have any business competing with anybody right now.

Pick: Indianapolis 28, Jacksonville 10

Oakland @ New England

The Patriots beat up on another bottom-feeder.

Pick: New England 27, Oakland 14

Minnesota @ New Orleans

Must-win situation for the 0-2 Saints. No Adrian Peterson and a turnover-prone quarterback spells certain doom for the Vikings.

Pick: New Orleans 31, Minnesota 13

Houston @ New York Giants

Even at home, I can’t pick the Giants to beat anyone right now. This is a team that just finds ways to beat themselves.

Pick: Houston 21, New York 17

Washington @ Philadelphia

Can’t see Jay Gruden in his third game with his second-string quarterback going on the road to upset Chip Kelly and the Eagles.

Pick: Philadelphia 27, Washington 20

Dallas @ St. Louis

The Cowboys win simply because their offense should be good for at least 20 points, and I think its a struggle for the Rams just to score 17 a week.

Pick: Dallas 23, St. Louis 13

San Francisco @ Arizona

Drew Stanton barely got the Cardinals through the Giants a week ago. He’ll face a much tougher defense this week, and the 49ers should be a little hungry for a win after imploding against the Bears.

Pick: San Francisco 24, Arizona 13

Kansas City @ Miami

A banged up Jamaal Charles and a banged up defense make it hard for Kansas City to stand up to a Miami team that has made some nice improvements.

Pick: Miami 23, Kansas City 20

Denver @ Seattle

The Seahawks will be out for blood after getting embarrassed by the Chargers last week. Playing in front of their home crowd always gives them such an edge, and I think they hand the Broncos their first loss of the season.

Pick: Seattle 24, Denver 20

Pittsburgh @ Carolina

Carolina continues to ride their defense to another victory. Cam Newton should also be able to move the offense against a very suspect Steeler defense.

Pick: Carolina 23, Pittsburgh 16

Chicago @ New York

Geno Smith and the Jets have been much better than I initially envisioned them.

I’m stunned with how bad and disgraceful our defense is …cousins is cleaner than a houndstooth..fletcher was obviously scouted (correctly ) by gruden,I can’t in memory remember a worst played defensive half at home ..the most telling stat is that normally the eagle offense has won the past two games by attrition,of the other teams defense in the second half..that’s not happening with the offense having at this moment two possessions ,one left with 1:15 … ..

Well that wasn’t too eventful a last minute ..holy shit ,that’s a lead into the worst defended half in memory, and kudos to nick that was a big boy drive and throw to ,Matthews ,who has picked up the desean challenge ,and emerged ,for the birds..it’s justice in some ways ,as the calls are putrid ..I hate whining but ,these are awful..

San Fran 49ers are in Deep Trouble as I stated they would be..
Lots of issues, QB Kap struggling, OL Issues, DL Issues,
Secondary Issues, Head Coach & GM relationship issues
DE Ray McDonald becoming a real distraction as most in SF
Media, Politics want him suspended with pending Domestic Charges
Hanging over him… A Train Wreck as I Saw and stated coming down the attacks for 2014
Another Team that will follow a similar path is the Steelers..
If they lose tonight to Panthers after 10 Days rest, their wheels will
Fall off too…
