Notes From The Phillies’ 1-0 Win Over Baltimore

harangThe Philadelphia Phillies won their Grapefruit League match against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday.

On The Mound

  • Aaron Harang made his debut after being scratched from his first start. Harang pitched two scoreless innings, but had some trouble along the way, giving up three hits and two walks. 
  • Philippe Aumont pitched a scoreless third inning.
  • Left Adam Morgan pitched two clean innings.
  • Justin De Fratus pitched a scoreless frame in his second appearance of the spring.
  • Paul Clemens threw two scoreless innings, allowing a hit and a walk.
  • Luis Garcia pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save.

At The Plate

  • Odubel Herrera led off and played center, going 0-3. 
  • Cesar Hernandez went 0-4, dropping his average to .077.
  • Cody Asche went 0-2.
  • Maikel Franco made an appearance as a pinch-hitter, and picked up a single.
  • Ryan Howard went 2-3, raising his average to .308.
  • Jeff Francoeur went 1-4 with a double, his second of the spring.
  • Andres Blanco went 1-4 with a solo homer in the fifth, the only run of the game.
