On The Mound

  • Joely Rodriguez got the start, and went three innings, allowing one unearned run on one hit and a walk. 
  • Jessie Biddle pitched two scoreless, and allowed two hits.
  • Ethan Martin pitched a scoreless inning, although he allowed a hit and a walk.
  • Cesar Jimenez pitched a scoreless frame and struck out two.
  • Jake Diekman pitched a clean ninth.
  • Justin De Fratus got the save with two strikeouts in the ninth.

At The Plate

  • The Phillies had another low-scoring affair, generating just two runs on six hits. 
  • Ben Revere went 1-3 with a single, his average is just .167.
  • Cesar Hernandez went 0-4 and left three men on.
  • Chase Utley made his spring debut, and went 1-2 with a single.
  • Ryan Howard supplied both of the team’s runs with a two-run homer in the fourth, the first of the spring for Howard.
  • Carlos Ruiz went 0-3. He has yet to record a hit in the spring games.
  • Domonic Brown went 1-3 with a single.
  • Darin Ruf went 0-3.
  • Cody Asche went 1-3, he’s currently batting .294.
  • Freddy Galvis went 1-3, increasing his average to .280.
