  • Jonathan Papelbon faced his old team, and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits.
  • Elvis Arujao pitched a scoreless fifth.
  • Adam Morgan pitched two scoreless innings, although he allowed four hits.
  • Andy Oliver struck out the side for a scoreless eighth.
  • Luis Garcia mopped up with a clean ninth.

  • Maikel Franco went 2-4 and scored two runs.
  • John Danks went 1-2 with a solo homer and also drew two walks.
  • Cord Phelps went 1-2 with a three-run homer and also worked two walks.
