Sam Bradford Participates in 7-on-7 Drills At Eagles Practice

SamBradfordOTA11Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford took some of the 7-on-7 reps today during practice at the Nova Care Complex, but he’s still dragging his leg.  He didn’t complete the first two passes, then connected on the third pass on a short route.  Completions aren’t really the emphasis now for Bradford, they just want him to continue to get the work.  They just want to make sure he’s going forward day-by-day.

Occasionally, he’ll stop and fix the brace but he seems to be getting stronger as they work him.  The guy can definitely throw the football.  He did all the individual drills today including running some of the zone read schemes and I don’t expect to see him hanging onto the ball and running with it any time soon.

“He’s throwing well,” rookie wideout Nelson Agholor told us after practice. “I think he’s very silent, but in terms of how he carries himself, he’s a great quarterback and a great football player.”

Mark Sanchez took most of the snaps with the first team and he made some great throws.  On one play, Sanchez hit Jordan Matthews streaking down the sidelines in a one-on-one matchup with Byron Maxwell near the sideline about 50 yards downfield.  Matthews made a spectacular catch by pulling the ball in with one hand.

Matthews was lined up outside with the first team most of the day.

Tim Tebow was up and down during his work today.  He finished strong but went for a stretch where he wasn’t able to complete anything to a receiver other than a quick screen to one of the wide receivers.

Matt Barkley had a good day and made a great throw on a 15 to 20 yard out route to Miles Austin, who reached up to snag the ball out of the air as he went out of bounds.  This is a good sign for Barkley because it takes good arm strength to make that throw.

Barkley was picked off on a throw to Jordan Matthews as Byron Maxwell wrestled the ball away from the receiver.

Let’s see the porcelain doll, take some snaps..There’s no incentive in showing him the money .This one is a huge 600 lb elephant in the room,as the GM has hitched his wagon to 2015 and beyond (non-conditional 2nd round pick) to this guy..
