Sam Bradford Can’t Help But Look Like A “Deer In The Headlights”

SamBradford129

Sam Bradford’s eyes are wide open, that’s just the way his eyes are.  His eyes are wide open on the field and off the field, so you could always say, he looks like a “Deer In The Headlights”.  Just so he doesn’t play like a “Deer in The Headlights”, I don’t care what he looks like on the field.

There’s no question that Bradford and the Eagles offense haven’t played well, so far.  Bradford hasn’t been as accurate as he needs to be with his throws in the season’s first two games.  He hasn’t been helped by the awful running game and all the dropped passes, but he’s got to play better.

Yes, he’s been quickly getting the ball out of his hands and doing nothing but throwing the ball to his underneath receivers.  He’s not keeping the ball in his hands long enough to give his receivers a chance to get downfield.

Yes, you could say the former Heisman Trophy winner has been playing like he is scared. That’s why you hear everybody saying he looks like a “Deer In The Headlights”.  But in fairness to Bradford, he looks like the “Deer in the Headlights”, all the time, even when he’s off the field.

Again, the guys eyes are just wide open.  They’re wide open like that all the time and it’s not because he is scared, so let’s stop it with the he looks like a “Deer In The Headlights” because he can’t help but look like a “Deer In The Headlights”.

I’m not surprised that Bradford looks “skittish” when he’s standing in the pocket in the first two games.  This is the first time he’s played in a couple of years and he’s not getting much help.  The running games is nonexistent and he’s had more dropped passes by his receivers than any other quarterback in the league.

I haven’t given up on him yet and I think this team is capable of turning things around.

G. Nobody has given up on him..we have no choice ,but to ride out the GM and Coaches vision as fans.We can’t excuse the fact that his red zone decision ,most especially was awful ,and not that of a veteran steward..His job with this team ,isn’t about being ,anything more than a processor of his reads and his quick reaction.History has told us ,he doesn’t look to throw deep if he sees two safeties ..This shrinks the box ,that teams have to defend. His and the coaches job ,is to counter attack that ..Thus far checking down ,plays right into the defenses hand ,and causes a fast tempo ,3 and out ,which totally exposes your own defense to exhaustive minutes. Its incumbent on the Offense to sustain drives ,and special teams to create favorable field position.HIis anxieties and body language ,are essential ,as the team feeds off him as they do any leader of the huddle..Excuses are for losers ..at 18-30 he is as bill parcels said what he is ,as judged by the bottom line. His whole career he’s been given excuses ,no O line ,no weapons ,now it’s time to put up or stfu.

“Bradford s eyes are always wide open, that’s just the way they are”

Are you kidding me G, you have to look this far and wide to explain away his obvious apprehension

You sound like you took a few hits off the bong with koolbreeze

Bradford just always looks that way

Hahaha…………

I am so tired of the lame ass, knee-jerk and dumb analysis. deserteagle, Vinniedaloser, and jakdog heads the list in this department. “Throw it deep, throw it deep” they keep hollering…yet two safeties are back deep, they dont have a receiver with deep speed, and oh by the way the offensive line is getting their butts kicked with no threat whatsoever of a running game at all.

Ignore all of that…and just chuck it deep.

Ignore that receivers have dropped 8 passes, dropped key first downs, got balls bouncing off of their hands for interceptions…AND the offensive line is getting their butts kicked…ignore all of that and look at what…Bradford’s eyes and his “body language”

BS man!!

We need to stop getting our butts kicked in the trenches…it all starts up front and the Oline has to at least allow running backs to get to the line of scrimmage! Receivers have to catch the ball and stop allowing passes to bounce off of their hands for interceptions…if we had these things happen in the last two games we would be 2-0 instead of whining about the Quarterback.
What opens up deep passes is a credible running game! Can the Oline at least get allow the running backs to get beyond the line of scrimmage instead of going backwards for negative yards!!
The bottom line is that the OLine problems and receivers dropping passes that would allow us to move the chains are much bigger problems than the play of the QB. We all knew he would be rusty after not playing for two years and that Bradford would need the running game. No one thought that Bradford was Tom Brady! We all knew going in..that the Eagles needed to be a run first team and that Bradford would get rid of the ball quickly and make good decisions. The lack of a running game puts enormous pressure on a QB that hasn’t played in two years to win games throwing the ball….it is ridiculous to expect Bradford to win games without any semblance of a running attack when most of our offensive talent is at running back!

Sooo funny.

Last year you screamed 50,000x that the line were terrible run blockers but were fine at pass protection, so this was no excuse for the QB.

How quickly the tune changes.

There will never be an effective run game untill Bradford gets those LBs and DBs to start backpedaling. We said the exact same things in Foles early starts because it was true.

It was true then, and its true now. They did not respect Foles when he started and crept forward crushing the run game because he was inexperienced. Once he began establishing himself, the run game opened up and McCoy rolled.

The same thing will happen when Bradford opens it up. Problem is….5 years of history says he won’t and so LBs will charge into the line without fear of repercussions.

Agholor can get open deep and the taps says he does. Matthews can get open, he did all last year.

Any you want to know why the WRs are dropping the ball. Because they’re peeking. Why? Because wevery single time they catch one, 2 or 3 250lb linebackers are pummeling them into the turf. They’re not being brought down by the Safeties and CBs they’re used to….they are getting pulverized after every 5 ard hook. Swarmed by a legion of men 50lbs larger than they are.

Matthews has been buried by multiple LBs on several occasions….so he’s peekin’ before the ball gets there.

To G’s credit he does look like a cracked out junkie that’s been on 3 day bench. But his body language says a lot. He’s not comfortable and he’s wondering when that next big shot will come. I don’t think he is scared or terrified I just think he knows that he cannot take big hits and have a successful season. No running game, no competent receivers, and an uptempo offense have been his biggest troubles so far this season. Chip has to slow it down. There is no way Chip is able to diagnose what the defense is doing that quickly when he runs a huddle offense. By the time he adjusts or gets the ball moving its late in the 3rd quarter. It’s a recipe for disaster. For the teams sake and for our sake he has to slow it down. Get into a rhythm and let Bradford regain his confidence. In the Atlanta game you could tell Bradford’s confidence began to dwindle with every 3 and out. Chip must slow it down

Once again, Vinnedaloser just cant get over his obsession with Foles

He just cant think in any reasonable, football terms!

Vinniedafool…the running game was much better with Shady last year, while the offensive lines biggest problems was with run blocking it was never has bad as what we are seeing now. Shady would often times make a guy miss in the backfield and get you 3-4 yards.
Demarco Murry is not getting anything at all…he’s losing yardage. He has never in his pro career had games as bad as he has had in these first two games. At one point he was 8 for -12…he cant get beyond the line of scrimmage.
Sproles would come in and get yards out of the running game by hitting the holes-last year.
This year Sproles isnt getting anything at all!
The running game has NEVER sucked this badly!

Last year Foles would hold the ball forever..the offensive lineman were blocking while Foles was holding the ball, receivers running wide open, Foles confused, holding the ball…then he would get a little pressure and throw the ball off of his back foot.
Bad decisions, holding the ball too long, throwing off of his back foot, missing open receivers..all led to him leading the league in turnovers and this is AFTER 2 years in the offense!!!
Foles also always had an established, veteran, and competent deep threats to play with. A super deep threat in DJax..a superstar player that we should have never gotten rid of, and a competent deep threat in Maclin.
Bradford, in his first year in the offense, after a two year layoff and no deep threats at all. Fool ass Vinnie wants to tell us Agholar is a down field weapon! Ridiculous, Agholar right now is an unproven, inexperienced rookie!
Anybody with half a brain and limited football knowledge will tell you that right now there is a big difference between Agholar an unproven rookie and DJax and Maclin! But only the agenda driven Vinnie would try to tell us otherwise!

And the most ridiculous point from Vinniedafool

“Any you want to know why the WRs are dropping the ball. Because they’re peeking. Why? Because wevery single time they catch one, 2 or 3 250lb linebackers are pummeling them into the turf.”

What a ridiculous and lame excuse! The receivers are paid to catch the ball…big 300lb lineman are bearing down on Bradford, diving at his knees, smashing and hitting him…you are not giving him a pass…yet you want to give the receivers an excuse for dropping perfectly thrown balls by the QB that would get us first downs!
Typical, agenda-driven hypocrisy from Vinnedafool…

The passing game is based off of West Coast principles which have ALWAYS stressed the short passing game…some of the balls dropped by Miles Austin, Matthews, and Cooper would have led to big gains with YAC…
Taking hits are apart of the deal Vinne…the Qb has to deliver the ball and take a hit…the receivers need to take the hit and catch the damm ball!

Just stop it…stop it…its lame, weak, and pure hypocrisy to bash Bradford as if he is the major problem…he’s not! Can he play better–sure! But the real problem is the offensive line and receivers failing to catch passes that would give us first downs…that’s the real and major problem…and only the agenda-driven, Foles-obsessed idiots refuse to admit this obvious point!

Jakdog we all know your M.O…you dont even belong here…

Vinnedaloser, yes…you have an obsession and an weak ass agenda…you have spent millions of words for weak arguments defending bum ass Foles.

Your attack on Bradford is lame attempt to recover from the humiliation of your man-crush being cut…so we all know you hate Kelly and you hate Bradford.

Your a hypocrite

I stated Kelly was wrong for trading Foles (and a second) for Bradford because Bradford is better.

You spent the last 6 months telling everyone (in vain) that Bradford was 1000x better than Foles.

Play on the field shows Foles IS better then Bradford.

I stand by my original assertion.

You change your tune and write giant reidiculous Opuses trying desperately t explain that its everyone else’s fault why Bradford sucks (even though he has stunk for 5 years. BTW – you did the same with Vick even though he stunk for a decade….so I suppose we’ll continue to have to read you telling us hos great Sam is for another 5 years even though he will be long retired.

And I am the hypocrite?

Hypocrites change their stories at a moments notice. Genuine people remain consistent.

I stand by what I said. Foles is better. The trade was stupid.

You said Bradford was great. He would be light years better than Foles. Now you say the only reason he’s not great is because of everyone else.

Only one hypocrite around here putz.

You’ve already made 6732 excuses….but I am sure you have more.

Please tell me how his new dietary supplement routine are Bradford’s terrible QBing decisions.

Explain to me how the angle of the Linc’s lights are blinding him to WRs that are left uncovered.

Please tell me how it was STLs terrible coaching that has resulted in his pathetic YPC is even lower now with the Eagles than it was with STL when he was worst in the league.

Please explain once again how 13 tds and 10 ints with a 6-2 W/L record is “Putrid” (a word you use often) while 0-2 with 1 td and 4 ints is “not so bad – everyone else’s fault” because I need another good chuckle.

Tell me once more how there have been 8 “drops” when most have been to WRs completely covered with defenders grabbing at arms while other WRs are wide open.

Please re-iterate how the throw directly into Sean Lee’s stomach was Ertz’s fault. Clearly it must have been.

Tell e again why you are surprised a QB with an 18-30 record now has an 18-32 record.

Tell me again how “talented” Bradford is. And how he alwys makes “good decisions” like tossing pathetic 2 yard swing passes on 3rd and 21. And twice in the same game at that.

LMAO…no excuses at all from me Vinniedaloser…just simple football facts!

Straight No Chaser!

I dont have to explain nothing about Bradford in St Louis when you haven’t explained Foles shitty play down there as well…his missing open receivers, turning the ball over.

What you want and haveablunt, jakdog, and others want to do is give him the lion share of credit that he has never earned nor deserved. For all you say about Bradford its a known FACT that a first round draft pick was offered for him…yet you would be lucky now if any team in the NFL would give you a sixth round pick for Nick Foles.

Simple, clear and objective facts that everyone without an agenda can see…you are grabbing for straws, just cant get over the reality that Foles couldn’t cut it…he was not and is not good enough…and getting rid of him is not what is hurting us…Bradford could get hurt tomorrow and we would still would not fall under the QB level of Foles…Sanchez and the third string guy is just as good especially when you look at Foles putrid performance against the Redskins
