Bills QB Tyrod Taylor May Have Been The Answer For The Eagles

TyrodTaylor1Eagles fans are spending a lot of time talking about Chip Kelly the head coach and Chip Kelly the GM.  The worst decision Chip Kelly the GM made, might have been the one involving not inviting young free agent quarterback Tyrod Taylor to training camp.

During the offseason, Taylor was looking for a team after three years in Baltimore backing up Joe Flacco.  He had his agent calling the Eagles because he thought he would be a perfect fit for Chip Kelly’s uptempo offense, which needed an athletic quarterback to run the read option.   Kelly the GM, didn’t want Taylor even though he would not have had to give up any draft picks or big contracts.  He chose instead to bring Tim Tebow to camp and wound up cutting him.

Finding the right quarterback is a franchise making decision.  Taylor might have been Kelly’s guy, but he couldn’t see it at the time.

Taylor is now the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.  Future Hall of Famers and retired Baltimore Ravens Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, were raving him a few years ago, when he was running the Ravens scout team.   Now, Taylor has the entire NFL taking notice.  He leads the NFL with a 4th quarter QB rating of 117.0.

When asked how Taylor would do in Chip Kelly’s offense McCoy was quick to say, “He would kill it”.

When you watch the game today, imagine Taylor in an Eagles uniform and running Kelly’s offense instead of leading the Bills.

The young quarterback has showed he can do everything you need to be a big time quarterback, such as taking care of the football, he has thrown 17 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions; throwing deep and being a leader.  Check out this interview on the Buffalo Bills website with Tyrod Taylor and wide receiver Sammy Watkins.

I’m more concerned about Taylor getting the ball deep to the speedy Watkins, than I am about McCoy running for 100 yards.  Taylor and Watkins are starting to get on the same page and that could mean trouble for the Birds secondary, who don’t have a cornerback, who can cover Watkins.

Kelly seems to have a change of hear regarding Taylor.  Earlier this week, he  had nothing but great things to say about Taylor

“It’s a different dynamic, and it’s similar to playing — not that he’s the same player as Cam [Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton] because Cam is obviously a different body type and whatever, but when that quarterback has the ability to run, it’s different,” Kelly said according to NJ.com. “It’s different in how you cover because now if he’s — if you play a lot of man under, two-deep man under where the defensive backs have their back turned to the quarterback and it’s third-and-10, if they’re all covered, he can tuck the ball and run for the first down.”

I have never ever seen a coach get criticized by players like Chip has been criticized. From Carey Wiliams to Djax to Shady to Tre, Mathis and now Demarco. His only supporters are Cooper and Kelce and maybe Jenkins. What FA in their right mind would come here. Foles probably wanted to speak his mind but is too nice a guy.

Nah daggolden.. I doubt you’ll hear any white players calling Chip out because they have no issues with him. Not even Evan Mathis called him out

But why I think its a slew of black players only is because Chip has cultural issues not race issues. Their is a difference

I don’t think Chip is a racist, I just think he has an issue understanding the black culture and how they were raised, how they spend their money , how they dress , how they act, what kind of cars they want to drive etc

That’s the issue Chip is having and quite frankly probably has always had that issue…

You can’t just relate to your white players, you have to be accessible and try to be relatable to all. Some if not all the black players that were here for that Riley Cooper situation loss a lot of respect for Chip because he kept him here and then resigned him, but let Desean go for “culture issues” and let Maclin walk because of money. Guys see this and they’re scratching their heads like are you serious?!

As long as Riley is still here it’ll be topic of discussion and as long as Chip continues to show a lack of understanding the black culture and their feelings and how they live their lives then it’s always going to be an issue…

Yeah but I think from all reports DeMarco is pretty laid back and relaxed..(not an Alpha male..his issue is with Chip is according to Tim McManus…DeMarco went to Lurie because he feels that Chip is unapproachable…boy..where have we heard that before….Boykin.

1. It’s not a slew its 2 players
2. What does that say about the black players that are still here
and those signed by Kelly after those accusations. Are they different
than Leaean and Boykins. Are they from a different culture ?

Easy-peasy

Neck Tatoo – no good
No neck Tatoo – good to go.

I was impressed with Tyrod Taylor when he was Flacco’s Backup 2 Years ago and thought he would make a nice fit in this Eagles Offense, but Chip just doesn’t see the Talent around the NFL like other GM’s do…
