Good Stuff Denny, Tim & Somers,
I would like you guys to discuss how the RB Corp will look like moving forward..
Besides Elliot potentially at #8 who may even be gone before that
What other RB Prospects do you like later in the Draft, any free-agent RB’s out there worth pursuing??
Please note that both Ryan Matthews & D Sproles are in their final Contract Season with the Eagles and they have no RB under Contract beyond 2016…

Hey Paul man….. Matthews has 2yrs left on his deal not 1 and to me if they don’t get Wentz this draft is a failure cause Bradford Isn’t gonna lead us anywhere that I wanna go and it’s nothing special to win a 8-8 division so for me it’s Wentz or bust….. cause if you draft elliot your gonna waste his career with yrs with Bradford

You are Correct – Ryan Matthes has 2 Years on his Contract left thru the 2017 Season.. D Sproles & K Barner are Signed thru the 2016 Seasons
GM Howie has openly stated Ryan Matthews is on the Trade Market,
Discussions with the Dolphins who now need, a RB have occurred since they lost L Miller to the Texans and CJ Anderson’s Deal was matched by the Broncos which was a surprise to most..

Eagles will have to move up before the 49ers at#7 to get Wenz and maybe as High as #2 with the Browns to ensure they can get Wenz

Jerry Jones has already said Romo has 3-5 yrs left in him
Chargeres just gave rivers all that money so there stuck with him
Jets are to far back for either the titans or jets to trade
The only threat I see is 49ers and for some reason I don’t think chip wants to develop any qb not named Mariota
To me taking Elliott if they can’t get Wentz is almost a waste of pick with no qb here I mean he would put up good stats but we wouldn’t win anything…

There are very few Impact Players for 2016 in this Draft…
The Smart Teams who have an eye towards the Future may take advantage of the limited QB Market and look to Trade their Pick or their Current QB..
As everyone knows that you can’t Win in the Playoffs with an average QB
Could the Chargers Trade QB Phil Rivers or Draft his Replacement?
Could the Cowboys Draft Romo’s Replacement?
Sure they could..

An NFL team cannot pick a guy at #4 in 2016 and have him sit on the bench until 2019.

That’s not going to happen.

Chargers and Cowboys are locked into the QBs they have until 2019. While I agree they both need to draft replacement QBs, they cannot at the first round positions they’re picking. Bottom of the round, second or third round – fine….but not at #3 and #4.

But the Chargers/Cowboys can trade Down to Teams that are needing a QB like the Rams,Jets, etc,etc.. These QB’s (Wenz,Goff & even Lynch) are all being pushed up the Draft Board due to a lack of Playmakers elsewhere in this Draft
If you have to wait 2 YEars for a WR, OT, or DT, whats another Season to get a Top QB Prospect… Look at the Cowboys who actually got 3 Players of 1st Round Talent last Draft in DB Byron Jones, DE Randy Gregory and OL La’El Collins, so they can roll the dice a bit this Draft.. With Romo healthy, they become right back in the mix for the NFC East, but time is running out on Romo and Jerry Jones can say what he wants but he knows it, HC Garrett knows it and even Romo knows it.. He has 2 Years tops…
SD Chargers are still unsettled where they may end up as a Franchise..
Could they be LA’s 23nd Team if not long term deal is reached with the City of San Diego.. Yes they could,

Draft the QB please. Let him learn… give him time.

I am thankful that the birds should get a stud at 8 no matter who they draft but I do think they move up again to grab a QB.

Winning teams dont throw away entire seasons for the future. It doesnt work in the NFL. That said…. winning teams also know that stock piling options at QB is important. The birds could come out with a solid draft to help this Bradford led team AND invest in the future with a QB pick in rd 1.

The Eagles can’t afford a mistake at 8…and drafting any QB in this draft at 8 is simply a reach. If the Eagles come to 8 and Goff or Wentz is there…trade the pick to a QB needy team like the Rams for their 15 and grab your 2nd round pick back.
The Rams would probably go for that…they need a QB badly
If you dont trade back simply pick the best available player at 8…Stanley, Eliot, a cornerback are all better options…
Stay smart, pick wisely…dont do a desperation reach that can set your franchise back…Goff, Wentz, and Lynch are just that…desperation reaches at 8…dont do it!

The Eagles got ‘their guy’ like it or not…Bradford is their guy and if he gets hurt they got Daniels to back him up. 3. the Eagles will grab their guy later in the draft, let the kid sit on the bench, learn the system, no pressure and in a few years if he is ready and good enough…and Bradford’s not around…he’ll get a shot.
Give up the pipedreams…accept reality…the Eagles have made the choice…its Bradford!

What in the hell do u guys want sam bradford to do? What is it gonna take to make u all understand that this is the most violent, team sport in the world? The wr play and running game along with the coaching did nothing to help out their qb who is returning from 2 acls all season long. Brand new system and Personnel around him with barely any training camp or offseason under his belt. He wasn’t even a hundred percent in April or July so Chip Kelly kind of babied his way into playing time when preseason came along.

Sam Bradford is one man for Christ sake. He can only do so much when your team leads the nfl in drops and can’t get any separation from the opposing defensive backs. Some would think he played like Nick Foles last season. If you truly believe that Sam Bradford was the main problem, you haven’t been paying attention.

Get the hatefulNess out of your heart and bias view and accept the fact the dude looked better as the sEason went on. Being with the same players In year 2, a slowed down methodical approach that allows him to audible with a more experience wr group will put him in the 28-31 td range this season.

Book it. And then bitch about how all of his touchdowns came in “garbage time” lmao

Ok base it off of philly… I think he was 500 with mediocre TD to int stats… So what is the excuse for that? You want to ignore (make excuse) for his time in St. Louis.
For the record I said sign him…. Best available. I guess but we need a plan moving forward … He is a stop gap, a mediocre stop gap bit it’s all we got

Eagles Workout Cal QB Jared Goff

The Philadelphia Eagles are working out Cal quarterback Jared Goff in Berkeley, California today, according to a report from former Eagles scout John Middlekauff. Kyle Scott of Crossing Broad was first to point out that Eagles head coach Doug Pederson and executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman were spotted on a plane heading to San Francisco. Roseman reportedly watched “about four hours of film” on Goff on the plane ride.

News of this private workout is interesting because Goff is thought to be one of the top two quarterback prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft. Recent draft rumors indicate the Eagles are interested in trading up to draft a passer. Other reports have connected the Eagles to Carson Wentz, but maybe that’s an effort to disguise their genuine interest in Goff. At the very least, key members of the Eagles organization have made it publicly known they intend to draft a quarterback this year.

The 21-year-old Goff measures in at 6-4, 205 pounds. He reportedly scored a 36 (out of 50) on his Wonderlic test. Goff started three years at Cal. In 2015, he completed 64.5% of his passes for 4,714 yards (8.9 yards per attempt), 43 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions

I’ve watched him play for two years, no injury history even after taking a beating and popping right back up. That alone sets him far apart from Bradford. The best ability is availability. Goff does not look to check down all day long, when he has a down field shot he takes it, even in the face of pressure. I read a lot of the analysis too, but I have the advantage of understanding Goff’s game because I watched him. I do not have to rely on someone else’s opinion or analysis. Now, I do not have a problem with Bradford’s skills (ability to pass the ball), I have a problem with Bradford’s injury history, winning percentage and constant check downs. I do not see a guy that can carry the team and will it to win…I’d prefer to take a chance on the college QB who has not reached his ceiling than stick with the known factor that has reached his ceiling. So let’s say Goff is Bradford skill wise, but, stays healthy, that is still an upgrade. I think Goff’s skills are tailor made for the WCO. I just prefer home grown talent obtained through the draft instead of a retread that has been a bust and has never done anything in the NFL but get 7 wins, injured, excuses to excuse his losing record and paid. No thanks.

Everything I stated above is a fact. You have to have a team around you to win big games.

Tom Brady has had the luxury in playing in one of the crappiest divisions the last decade and a half. He has also had elite Patriot defenses and a damn good one in all 4 of his superbowls. Had Randy Moss, Edelman, Gronk, among many others with Bill Belichick on the sideline.

Sam Bradford has had nothing. Was that Rams team, led by Brandon Gibson and a old Steven Jackson going to beat out Seattle and a dominate San Fran team at the time? Nope. Kid came in and had a damn good rookie year, and was on his way to a pro bowl season with 14 tds and 4 ints thru 6 1/2 games before his knee injury happpened.

He is going to surprise alot of people next season. He is not even in his 30s yet. Peyton Manning, Brady, and Brees have all had better winning percentages in there 30s.

Sam’s best days are ahead of him.

Good points CT…Bradford did what he was supposed to do in this offense despite the lack of weapons…check downs that get you positive yards are better than chucking it up for grabs to Receivers who can’t get open down the field or holding the ball like a dork and then throwing it up for grabs off your back foot like another failed Qb used to do…
Steady the course…we got Daniels as a back up and as an insurance policy in case of injury to Bradford. If Bradford stays healthy, we got our Qb..if not we will have some Qb prospects in the upcoming drafts who are just as good if not better and we may pick up a Hackenberg or Prescott in the later rounds who may even be better…the operative for the Eagles in this draft is don’t reach and blow the 8th pick with QB’s that well may be busts

It’s not Bradfords fault the coach went out and got rid of the best RB in philly history and a damn good WR in maclin that would have went Nicely with Jordan matthews and Ertz. Sam bradford is only one man. Not an excuse, a fact.

Are you expecting Bradford to do better this year? Why? All those excuses you gave for him failing last year will still exist. The Eagles (with Sam) are projected to finish last in the division. They are 20th in the pre-season power rankings.

The Eagles are in the building process – they are in no position to win this coming year. They should be (and will be) building around a young quarterback.

Some of you would be happy to win 8 games and hope for a playoff spot for the next five years with Sam. The owner of the Eagles is not happy with that. This team will do what Jeff Lurie said they will do – “Continue to search for a franchise quarterback”. Sam ain’t it…..

Wentz would be a perfect fit for Chip’s offense so I can see SF moving up to get him – even from Cleveland. They have plenty of picks to offer and Cleveland is applying “analysis” (see 76er) so moving back to 7 isn’t a stretch. If SF gets Wentz, Goff becomes a realistic option for the Eagles at 6 or 8.

Report: Eagles will hold private workout with Wentz, too

Posted by Zac Jackson on March 29, 2016, 7:00 PM EDT
After conducting a private workout for Cal quarterback Jared Goff to start the week, the Eagles are scheduled to hold another for North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz on Wednesday, ESPN’s Adam Caplan reported.

Goff and Wentz are generally considered the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft. That the Eagles are showing interest after making significant offseason investments into quarterbacks Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel is interesting.

Maybe the Eagles just want to gather information while making teams with early quarterback interest sweat a little. Or, maybe these workouts will help convince the Eagles and new head coach Doug Pederson — a former NFL quarterback himself — that they have to take either Goff or Wentz.

The Eagles hold the No. 8 pick in the first round after swapping first-round picks with the Dolphins. The Browns at No. 2 and the 49ers at No. 7 are seen as potential quarterback landing spots.

Four weeks out, there’s still a lot of guessing involved with this year’s draft. Pegging the Eagles as another potential quarterback destination makes things even tougher to predict.

haveablunt…We understand how it works in you and your cronies puffed out smoked out, and drunk reality…we get it.

The excuses all belong to everyone else besides the Quarterback!

We all know that nothing has ever been the fault of Riley Cooper and Josh Huff…

These guys were held back because of Bradford, he stunted the All-Pro potential that Riley Cooper was loaded with and prevented him from excellence. They were running free deep consistently and Sam just wouldn’t throw them the ball. Reminds me of the complaints of Freddie Mitchell…he would have been an All-Pro as well if Donovan would have simply thrown him the ball like he threw it to Terrell Owens!

We also know that Bradford also stunted the growth of Demarco Murray and the running game…

Bradford turned a dominant offensive line stacked with All-Pro talent into a mediocre line that couldn’t protect Bradford nor run the ball

Its all Sam Bradford’s fault.

The offensive line, receivers, and the running game all have legit excuses..it was the Coach and the Quarterback’s fault that they sucked ass.

The Sam Bradford Haters Club…have a bunch of excuses for everyone except the Quarterback.

Bullshit!
