Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott was being interviewed on the NFL Network yesterday and he let the audience know that he’s going to be visiting the Nova Care Complex in the near future.

“I’m lucky to be in this situation, and I’ll be happy with whoever drafts me,” Elliott said.

The Eagles could use a running back.  Right now they have Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles and Kenjon Barner to carry the football.  Mathews is injury-prone.  Sproles isn’t a full-time player, plus he’s getting near the end of he road.  Barner hasn’t proven he’s a NFL running back.

I think Elliott is a game changer, who can make the difference as a ball carrier and as a receiver, but I still wouldn’t have a problem with the Eagles drafting Michigan State’s offensive tackle Jack Conklin.  I would love to see they physical Conklin and big bruiser guard Brandon Brooks on the right side of the Birds offensive line.  They would be able to pound teams with a physical running game.

Still I’m very impressed with Elliott.  He can make the short inside run and he can take it the distance with his big time speed.

He can shift out of the backfield and beat linebackers and safeties as a receiver. Elliott catches the football in tight areas.  The Buckeye running back is also a very good run and pass blocker.

Eagles should consider trading out of that #8 spot and pick up some additional picks. Good chance Conklin is available in the mid/late round. Im afraid the Eagles will be paying a kings ransom if they move up to the #1 spot. Could set us back for years if that pick doesn’t pan out. Shoot the Eagles could very well trade out of the #8 spot and land QB Paxton Lynch in the mid round..it’s possible.

The Problem with this Year’s Draft is there are very few impact players so Trading Downwill likely not return very much as Myn Teams will be looking to do the same thing.. GM Roseman publicly stated that he thinks there are only 8-10 Top Propects and the a real drop off from there which may come back to bite him in the ass in terms of asking a lot isReturn to trade back
This is why another school of thought is for the Eagles at #8 is to Treade up and get that Franchise QB if they truly believe Wentz/Goff Are that type of Player… If they send #8, #77, #100 from a weak Draft Class and a 2017 Pick with a Player… Is the Cost that High if some of these Picks are not NFL caliber Players to begin with???

Trade down and pick up Conklin, I don’t know about that your passing up on a top ten talent. If I was the Eagles I would sit at eight and take the bpa.

Congrats to the Flyers on making postseason and could end up being a very dangerous team.
