I’ve got to give it to Eagles Vice President of Football Operations Howie Roseman, he has put this football in position to establish a solid foundation and begin getting better. They’re not there yet. The offense could develop into a good unit before the season is over, if the offensive line stays healthy, Sam Bradford has a good season, Ryan Mathews stays healthy and if two receivers, Nelson Agholor and Reuben Randle, to step up and be productive along with slot man Jordan Matthews.
I expect a big year out of Zach Ertz and we’re also going to see Trey Burton get his hands on the ball quite a bit in the short passing game.
The defense should be a good unit starting with Fletcher Cox, Vinny Curry and the defensive line. Curry is the most important player on this team next to Sam Bradford. He should be dominant and create major problems for each offense, while getting over 12 sacks.
MLB Jordan Hicks needs to continue what he started a year ago and Mychal Kendricks needs to take his game to another level. I like what I see out of the corners with Leodis McKelvin, Ron Brooks, Nolan Carroll and Jalen Mills. You know we have some outstanding safeties in Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod.
I also talk about the Phillies top draft pick left-handed hitting California high school outfielder Mickey Moniak. This kid is supposed to be an outstanding hitter.
At the end I give my take on the Sixers upcoming decision of who to pick at the number one spot, Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram.
I’m picking Golden State to beat the Cavaliers because I don’t think Cleveland can continue to play all that isolation basketball and be effective enough scoring against the Warriors to keep up with those three pointers.
