Eagles Podcast – Birds Must Score TD’s In The Red ZoneBREAKING NEWS, Eagles, General News, News Friday, November 11th, 2016
The reason the Eagles lost last week’s game to the New York Giants is because they couldn’t get the ball into the end zone, once they got into the red zone. They had plenty of chances to score, but they misfired too many times. They drove deep into Giants territory and were stopped on fourth down. They also had a field goal blocked.
They gained nearly 500 yards, but came up short despite having the football for four plays inside the New York 20 yard line. Maybe they can throw the ball to Zach Ertz in those situations. Maybe Dorial Green-Beckham will get tired of letting little defensive backs prevent him from running a fade route. Maybe the Eagles will realize that little 5’6″ Darren Sproles is not the best back to run the ball on fourth down and in the red zone.
Carson Wentz and his teammates have got to develop a personality in the red zone. They must find a play or a player, who will help them get it done in the red zone.
