Notes From The Phillies’ 5-4 Loss To Los Angeles

The Philadelphia Phillies lost their third straight game on Thursday night, falling to the Angels 5-4. Their record drops to 39-67.

On The Mound

  • Jerad Eickhoff turned in a decent outing, allowing three runs over six innings.
  • Eickhoff gave up just three hits, but walked four.
  • Edubray Ramos made his return from the minors, pitching a scoreless seventh.
  • Luis Garcia took the loss, giving up two runs in the eighth.

At The Plate

  • The offense put up four runs on 10 hits.
  • Nick Williams had a big night, going 3-4 with a homer and two doubles, driving in two.
  • Freddy Galvis put up the team’s other two runs, going 2-4 with a couple of singles and a walk.
  • Cesar Hernandez went 1-4 with a double and a walk.
  • Aaron Altherr went 0-5.
  • Tommy Joseph went 1-5 with a single.
  • Odubel Herrera went 1-3 with a single and a walk.
  • Maikel Franco went 1-4 with a base hit.
  • Hyunn Soo Kim went 1-3 with a walk.
  • Cameron Rupp went 0-3.

Final Thoughts

A tough series for the Phils, who fell flat on their faces out west after winning their previous five games.
