  • Cesar Hernandez went 0-5 at the top of the order.

  • Nick Williams went 1-4 with a single and a walk, and scored two runs.
  • Rhys Hoskins went 1-3 with a three-run homer, and worked two walks.
  • Maikel Franco went 1-3 with a single.
  • Ty Kelly hit a pinch-hit grand-slam.
  • Jorge Alfaro got a start at first base for the struggling Tommy Joseph, and went 1-5 with a single.
  • Cameron Rupp went 2-4 with a solo homer.
  • Cameron Perkins went 1-4 with a single and drove in two runs.

Final Thoughts

Rhys Hoskins continues to figure things out at this level, launching his fourth homer of the week.

It was great to see the team go away from Tommy Joseph in favor of giving Jorge Alfaro more at-bats. Joseph’s average has sunk into the .230’s, and he’s showing more and more that he’s not an everyday player.
