  • Edubray Ramos came out of the bullpen to throw two scoreless innings.
  • Hoby Milner got the first out of the eighth, and Luis Garcia came on to finish the frame.
  • Hector Neris picked up the save in the ninth.

At The Plate

  • The offense put up six runs on eight hits.
  • Rhys Hoskins, yet another homer. Hoskins hit a solo shot in the eighth, he’s now homered in five straight games.
  • Nick Williams went 2-4 with a two-run shot.
  • Cesar Hernandez went 0-3 at the top of the order.
  • Freddy Galvis went 1-4 and drove in two.
  • Tommy Joseph went 0-3 with three strikeouts.
  • Maikel Franco went 2-4 with a double.
  • Pedro Florimon went 2-4 with a couple of singles.
  • Cameron Rupp went 0-3.

Final Thoughts

Rhys, Rhys, Rhys.

11 homers in just over half a month of major league action. Absolutely incredible.

Oh as if all those bombs aren’t enough, Hoskins, who isn’t a natural outfielder, managed to turn a triple play today, the first since Eric Bruntlett almost 10 years ago.
