  • Jesen Therrien relieved Eickhoff, and got through three innings, but gave up three runs of his own.
  • Yacksel Rios managed to pitch three scoreless to mop of most of the remainder of the game.
  • Edubray Ramos came out to work the ninth.

  • Jorge Alfaro went 2-3 with a couple singles and drove in the team’s only run.
  • Rhys Hoskins went 1-4 with a single, extending his hitting streak to 11 games.
  • Cesar Hernandez went 1-4 with a single.
  • Freddy Galvis went 0-2.

Final Thoughts

Well, this was a thoroughly deflating opener to the team’s latest doubleheader.

Jerad Eickhoff, who has had a disappointing season, was lit up early, and left the game with an apparent injury. The team might want to just shut him down at this point, and let him come back next season fresh. on Facebook
