It wasn’t pretty but the Eagles found a way to dominate the New York Jets and put together a 31-6 victory on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field. Now they’re tied for first place in the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys, who lost to the Green Bay Packers. It was the Eagles defense, which led the way to victory with 10 sacks, two touchdowns and three turnovers.
The offense struggled most of the day against a good Jets defense. The Birds couldn’t convert on third downs with penalties and miscues putting the Eagles in numerous third and long situations.
