According to a report from ProFootballTalk late Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles have expressed interest in veteran wide receiver Torrey Smith, currently a member of Chip Kelly’s struggling 49ers. No deal is imminent, the trade deadline falls on November 1st.
A deal for Smith would make sense for both teams, provided that the asking price is […]

Thoughts From Eagles-Vikings

Defense Dominates Sam Bradford, Vikings Offense
The Eagles’ defense returned to pre-bye week form today, in a dominating effort against Sam Bradford and the Vikings offense.
The Minnesota offense was held to just three points while the game mattered, turning away four scoring opportunities in Philadelphia territory.
Rodney McLeod has been such a great addition to this defense, […]

Thoughts From Eagles-Redskins

Mistakes, Sloppy Play Doom Eagles Again
One of the Eagles’ best qualities during their three-game winning streak to start the season was that they appeared to be well-coached and well-prepared.
During the last two weeks, they’ve been neither of those things.
The Eagles for the second straight week committed over 110 yards worth of penalties. Bad penalties, on […]

Thoughts From Eagles-Lions

Eagles Make Too Many Mistakes, Lose Winnable Game
I thought the Eagles showed a lot of positives in today’s loss, but the mistakes kept piling up and ultimately cost the team a valuable win.
The biggest thing that jumped out to me today were the penalties. The Eagles racked up an astounding 14 penalties for over 111 […]

Lane Johnson Should Drop His Suspension Appeal
The Lane Johnson situation continues to drag on and on, beyond belief.
After the NFL dragged their feet on announcing the suspension until the third week of the season, Johnson appealed the suspension so that he could participate against the Steelers, and then begin serving his suspension after the bye […]

Week 3 Afterthoughts

Eagles Alone In First Place
Through three weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles are not only undefeated, but in sole possession of the NFC East.
The Eagles have proven that they can contend with good teams just as well as they can blowout bad ones.
The rest of the NFC East hasn’t been nearly as impressive as the Eagles. The […]
