Which Eagles Veterans Should Stay Or Go?

Baltimore Ravens v Philadelphia Eagles

Is there a “Comeback Player of the Year” on the 2013 Philadelphia Eagles or perhaps a Scrub or a Dud? Is there a player or players on the roster who is going to be that underachiever you expected them to be? Three people come to mind, maybe four when I think about players on this [...]

A Preview Of The Eagles’ 2013 Linebackers

As the roster of the 2013 Philadelphia Eagles and their season is studied, analyzed, turned inside out and upside down, I decided to add my other two cents. You’ve seen the revamped secondary, but I want to take a look at the one group of Eagles players that – for me – may be the [...]

Everyone and their mother knew that Philadelphia Eagles defense needed to be the main focus to getting this team pointed in the right direction so Chip Kelly and the Eagles brass went forward with a somewhat different strategy than before. No big names but sound football players with the potential to be big.
Free Agency hopefully [...]

When Will Michael Vick “Finally Be Free”?

I was going to do a story on Michael Vick and the release of his new autobiography “Finally Free: The Power of a Second Chance”. But I learned that Vick canceled his book tour because of death threats to him, his family and some of the staff of some of the bookstores. REALLY?!
I was going [...]

What Can The NFL Do To Make The Game Safer?

Last Tuesday, Sports Illustrated magazine ran a story of the fear that lives inside NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. There is the thought, and I’m sure it has crossed a player’s mind that because of the nature of the game they play and love, there is the very present reality of a fatality on the football [...]

Who Could The Eagles Target In Free Agency?

After the Philadelphia Eagles signed new Head Coach Chip Kelly, the next round of activity for the Eagles is just around the corner. Free Agency hits the NFL on Tuesday March 12th and looking out of any coach’s window at the Nova Care Complex I imagine is as thrilling this year as it was in [...]

Finally! At lo-o-ong last… the Philadelphia Eagles have their man! The feeling of joy, relief and heightened anticipation resides in a city that has waited for the coach who will bring them a Super Bowl Championship! Hopefully now, Chip Kelly, formerly of the University of Oregon is that coach. So, welcome Coach Kelly to the [...]

Football Is No Longer Fun In Philadelphia

Wow… how the mighty have fallen. I guess you can’t ever have called the Eagles mighty, not since 1960 when they won the NFL Championship beating the Green Bay Packers. Wow… the worst record in 14 years, since we called Andy Reid “Coach”. Philadelphia has been so accustomed to winning football even if we never [...]

Reid’s 14-Year Era May Finally Be Coming To An End

Philadelphia Eagles v Chicago Bears

Ever have that feeling that something bad is about to happen, something beyond your control? A feeling like… well, when you start to notice that special someone becoming distant, less attentive. And then they start to become evasive. You know something’s wrong but when you ask you’re told that everything’s okay when you know it’s [...]

The Fear Of Tears

Abandonment and rejection are painful things aren’t they? When you love someone so much and they don’t love you back, when there is a total lack of fulfillment from a relationship or situation that your heart is poured into? Sometimes it isn’t on purpose though because that person doesn’t understand your love for them; in [...]
