As for this Sunday’s Super Bowl, I’m awed by the talent on the San Francisco 49ers roster on both the offensive side and the defensive side. They are clearly the most talented football team in the NFL. You’ve got to give their front office a lot of credit for amassing so much talent.
Still having [...]

I know Eagles new head coach Chip Kelly had to be sitting somewhere staring at 49ers young quarterback Colin Kaepernick imagining him on the Eagles roster. I’m sure Kelly would love to have that young man running his uptempo, read option offense for the Eagles in the upcoming year. Unfortunately, the young man isn’t likely [...]

It’s been a very busy day in the NFL as the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons get ready for the AFC and NFC Championship games.
The “almost Eagles head coach” Gus Bradley was introduced to city of Jacksonville today and this guy is very impressive. He’s definitely charismatic. Bradley was [...]

The AFC West promises to be one of the most tightly contested division races in the league this year. No one team of this group is head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, and each squad has both their share of questions and reasons for optimism. The Broncos have ditched the smoke-and-mirror act [...]

I was saddened to hear that former NFL linebacker Junior Seau died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was found by his girlfriend in their Oceanside, California home with a wound to his chest area.
This was especially close to home for me, being he was a former USC linebacker.
This was a shock to every close [...]

Unfortunately for Gregg Williams, I think “suspended indefinitely” could become “suspended permanently” after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell gets the chance to sit down and systematically go through the sound of the Saints game vs. the Niners this past season. His timing couldn’t be worse as the NFL turns up the focus on concussion injuries.
Documentary filmmaker [...]

On the surface, it would seem that the Houston Texans motivation for moving two-time Pro Bowl LB DeMeco Ryans to the Philadelphia Eagles was based on business. They only got a fourth-round pick (plus the swap of the thirds), but cleared some $6 million in cap space off the books for this year. So [...]

All the Peyton Manning talk is over the top. Whichever team gets him isn’t going to win a Super Bowl. Manning isn’t a big game quarterback. He plays his best football during the regular season, not in the playoffs. Remember he has won only one Super Bowl and threw two interceptions in that game and [...]

Once again Eagle fans are forced to watch the rival NY Giants celebrate a Superbowl championship. On Sunday night mediocrity reigned supreme in the NFL as the 9-7 Giants became the first team in NFL history to win a Superbowl with that record.
The Giants finished a measly 1 win better than the Eagles in the [...]

The door was open for the Patriots but Tom Brady couldn’t get the ball to a wide open Wes Welker. Welker got two hands on the football but couldn’t bring it in.
The Giants Eli Manning on the other hand made all the throws. That throw by Manning and the catch by Mario Manningham was perfection. [...]
