The move is good for the Phillies because Podsednik was not going to be playing at Citizen’s Bank Park this season and the team could use the extra cash.

The Phillies fell 5-2 to the New York Mets on Friday night.
Cliff Lee wasn’t sharp at the beginning of the game, and put the Phillies in an instant 3-0 hole to begin the game. Lee gave up back-to-back doubles to start the inning, and then gave up a two-run homerun to Jason Bay.

If the Phillies offensive struggles during spring training wasn’t enough of an indication as to what fans should expect from this season’s Fightins, then their 2.3 rpg in the Pirates season factored in by their two-run output against the Marlins in game one of that series should convince the Philly faithful that this team is [...]

Wow, has this city’s baseball team changed in the last decade. I don’t think the baseball fans ever stopped being baseball fans. But the fact that the atmosphere at Citizens Bank Park, with an influx of younger generations, is a party atmosphere and shows that this fan base loves a good team. And the Phillies [...]

The most overrated day of the year has arrived. Ahh, that’s right, pitchers and catchers have officially reported to Clearwater, Florida. It is severely annoying when someone in the beginning of February gives the ‘two weeks ‘til pitchers and catcher report. Who cares. Is it really that important that Roy Halladay and Chooch are warming [...]

Most of the citizens of the state of Pennsylvania have no idea who U.S. Senator Bob Casey Jr. is. I don’t know anything that he’s done of significance since he’s been in office. He’s what you call an empty suit who got elected because of his father, who was formerly a major politician in the [...]
