BWest Undermines Sheppard's Quest PDF Print E-mail
Written by Garry Cobb
Brian Westbrook signed a contract a number of years ago and so did Lito Sheppard.

Westbrook has defintiely outperformed his deal but  he's willing to honor it.  He'll be carrying the Eagles offense again this year while Sheppard will be trying to stay on the field much more than he did a year ago.

Sheppard hasn't exactly outperformed his contract the last couple of years but he wants a new deal.

If Westbrook plays without a new contract this year I don't see how Sheppard's representatives can come to Joe Banner and Eagles with a straight face and tell him that Sheppard deserves a new contract.

Yesterday Sheppard wisely refused to talk about his contract but would only talk about what happened on the field this weekend.

I don't think his reputation around the league is good enough at this time for him to demand a new deal.
