Lloyd Vance is a veteran NFL Writer, who has covered football for over 8 years with an emphasis on the Philadelphia Eagles, league news/notes and the yearly NFL Draft. 

In addition to his work for Gcobb.com, he is the Editor for Taking It to the House and a contributing writer to BIGPLAY Football.  He is a member of the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) and has worked on projects for ESPN, NFL Network, and NFL Films.

Some of his sports journalism highlights have included:

Being featured as a on-camera speaker in the upcoming 2009 version of the NFL Network’s Top Ten series.

  • Serving as a key researcher and contributor to the ESPN Book, “Third and a Mile” by William C. Rhoden.  
  • Appearing as a on-camera speaker (Historian) in the ESPN  Documentary “Third and a Mile” on the History of African American Quarterbacks.
  • Winning a 2007 Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) award for outstanding NFL writing.

Lloyd lives outside of Philadelphia, Pa and he is a featured weekly guest on various local and national media outlets.
