The Cowboys Are The Biggest NFC East Threat To The Eagles

Trevor Laws, Tony Romo

Looking around the division right now, the two teams that seem most likely to challenge the Eagles for the NFC East title are the Cowboys and Giants. Here’s a look at both teams, and who I believe is the stronger threat to the Eagles.
What I like
The Cowboys have a very dangerous core on their offense. [...]

2014 NFL Projections: The NFC East

New York Giants
The sun is setting on the Tom Coughlin era in New York.
The Giants really fell off last season, struggling through an ugly 7-9 campaign plagued by injuries and turnovers.
With a terrible offensive line and no running game to speak of, the weight of the team fell on Eli Manning’s shoulders, and the veteran [...]

Thoughts From Eagles-Cowboys

Defense Steps Up Once Again
Throughout the second half of the season, I’ve stated that Billy Davis and the improvement of the Eagles defense have been the true keys to the team’s success.
Chip Kelly, Nick Foles, and LeSean McCoy have all been great, but this defense’s ability to step up and make big plays and big [...]

Troy Aikman: Cowboys Offense Better With Orton Than Romo

Former Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame quarterback and three-time Super Bowl winner, Troy Aikman said the Cowboys will be a better offense this Sunday night against the Eagles with Tony Romo out of the starting lineup and Kyle Orton in there for him. Aikman was doing an interview yesterday on Mike Francesca’s The Fan radio [...]

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo Undergoes Back Surgery

It’s official now.  Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told reporters that his quarterback Tony Romo underwent back surgery this morning and will be placed on injured reserve, so there’s no way he’s playing this Sunday night when the Eagles take on Dallas.
Garrett did everything he could to try and cover up the fact that Romo [...]

The Passion Of The Eagles-Cowboys Rivalry

Trevor Laws, Tony Romo

Having disgust for the Cowboys is natural, like blinking or breathing.  As with learning addition and subtraction, a family member, friend or mentor taught us the Philadelphia football education.   We knew at an early age the “star” was something we despised.    There was no room for “why” questions, only “final” answers for this lesson plan.
I [...]

Jerry Jones: “Tony (Romo) will play with all the pain”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is through for the season, but Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett came back and disagreed with that report by saying there was still a chance that Romo could play this Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
There’s been speculation that Romo has [...]

Billy Davis: Romo’s Ability To Extend The Play Is Only Difference From Orton

This morning Eagles defensive coordinator Billy Davis talked to the media about how he reacted when he heard the reports that Tony Romo will miss this Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
“It really wasn’t Earth-shattering,” said Davis. “Most of the time when injuries happen early in the week, [the reaction is] not that drastic because  there [...]

Eagles Can’t Afford To Lose Down The Stretch

The Eagles are now 8-5 and despite winning five games in a row, they can’t afford to lose another game down the stretch, if they want to be sure to make the playoffs.  Running the table will put them in the playoffs, but there may be no room for a loss.  If they finish even [...]

The Eagles Versus The Cowboys Down The Stretch For The Playoffs

With five games remaining on both teams schedules, the scene is set.  It’s going to be a battle between the Dallas Cowboys and the Eagles down the stretch for a playoff berth.  I like the Eagles chances of making the playoffs because they’re a team that’s been improving from week to week.  The teams that [...]
