The first of many moves (I would think and hope so) for the Sixers started with Collins “officially” resigning as the Sixers coach. I figure to give Sixers fans (if there is any still left besides a handful of us) some of the better quotes from the presser. Let’s begin…
Collins on when he knew he was “out” [...]

I have been trying to think of what to call this season. I could call it the season from hell. That sounds pretty good. Nah, get more creative Joe. How about the “Era of Bynum”, version TWO? I can save that one for another day. I know, “The Season That Never Was”. Man, that headline makes me [...]

It doesn’t sound like Sixers’ head coach Doug Collins is long for Philadelphia.
According the Philadelphia Inquirer, although the team has publicly voiced support for Collins, behind closed doors they hope that he’ll voluntarily step aside at the end of the season.
Its been a rough year for the Sixers. Everything that could have gone wrong in [...]

The Philadelphia 76ers just released a statement about the surgery which center Andrew Bynum underwent bilateral arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday. They let us know that the procedure was done by Dr. David Altchek with the Hospital for Special Surgery.

The day Tony DiLeo was given the general manager’s title, we all knew it really meant that Doug Collins was hired as the GM. There were rumors of Rod Thorn and Collins having a power struggle during last year’s offseason. I am not sure if Collins was the reason for Thorn stepping down, but I guarantee that Doug helped push Thorn [...]

The Philadelphia 76ers lost their fourth straight game on Tuesday night, falling to the Orlando Magic 98-84 at the Wells Fargo Center. The team’s record has now dipped to 22-33.
Once again, the Sixers treated their fans to some of the most unwatchable basketball that the NBA has to offer. The Orlando Magic, a team with [...]

I mean, what can I say about the Sixers’ season thus far. I could drop a couple of “F” bombs and other fun adjectives. I can save them for later though. I think Doug is about to let them fly. Can you blame him? Well, actually you could. He hand a big-hand in putting this [...]

Man, aw man. This game was there for the taking. Just like that it is gone. Sixers played front-runners all night long. Then Boston was like ” OK, enough. Let’s stop playing around.” You can chalk this one up to plan old experience. Wait a minute.. Lou and Doug too.
Boston showed why they have won a championship. [...]

Well, that was the most fun I had in a very long time with the Sixers. Man, I am fired up!! Obviously, the Bulls not having Derrick Rose helps a lot as well. The Bulls have played extremely well without Rose all year going 18-9 during the regular season though. Listen, you are going to [...]

There’s a good chance that the Philadelphia 76ers are going to miss the playoffs. I remember Sixers fans talking about them going to the Eastern Conference Finals during their early season run. Things have changed dramatically.
Doug Collins talks about how his team can’t shoot, but there are a lot of other things they can do [...]
