He was there because the Birds are taking a long, hard look at Mountaineers signal caller Geno Smith and they’re seriously considering drafting him. It wasn’t a [...]

They’re $23 million dollars under the cap going into the 2013 season. Yes they were a horrible football team [...]

I remember how upset former Eagles head coach Ray Rhodes was when he found out that team President Joe Banner had more power than anybody in the Eagles organization. He couldn’t believe that Banner was trying to tell him who he should select in the upcoming draft.
Former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb talked about Banner’s power [...]

Regardless of who the new coach is, we know that Eagles GM Howie Roseman will play a prominent role in the draft choices. Jeffrey Lurie emphasized today that Roseman had a major hand in the 2012 draft, but the drafts of 2010 and 2011 were primarily the products of Andy Reid and Joe Banner.
I asked [...]

It’s official. Jeffrey Lurie has fired Andy Reid and he’s have a news conference at 12 noon today. Lurie is expected be there, but it’s not clear whether Reid will be there.
Lurie probably informed Reid that he would be fired today, but agreed not to release that information to the media prior to this morning. [...]
