Gary Sheffield came up with this weak reason why there are so few African-American players in the Major Leagues . He said MLB is signing Latin players because they're easier to handle than Aftrican-Americans. I disagree. MLB is dominated by the MLB Players Association. They pay the players enormous guaranteed contracts. I hate it when somebody makes something racial when it's not because nobody will be interested in listening to a problem that's really there. The Major League owners aren't trying keep blacks out of the game, but they need to get African-American girls in high school excited about baseball and the boys will start playing more of it. Baseball doesnt' get the black high school girls excited so it doesn't get the black high school boys excited.
Can LaBron lead the Cavs to the championship? I doubt it but I didn't think they were going to beat the Pistons either. The Cavs beat the Spurs in both games during the regular season, but the experts say that doesn't matter. I don't think it means a lot but it does mean the Cavs match up better against San Antonio than people are giving them credit for.
