G, If the Eagles should have a sub par year on the defensive side of the ball, will they opt to fire Jim Johnson and bring in a New Coordinator with a new scheme, or will they just blame it on the players and continue with Jim Johnson?

I don't know what they'll do. If the "D" doesn't have a good year, I think it's time to go in another direction with somebody else. They have enough talent to have a good defense. They get rid of players who don't get the job done and the same should be true for coaches. We'll have to wait and see. I hope this is a rebound year for the Eagles "D" and Coach Johnson.

I really like your articles and I can't seem to get enough of E-A-G-L-E-S. You mentioned a couple of times about McNabb calling the offense at the line of scrimmage. What do you think is the possibility of Andy letting him do that more than he has so far?
PS I just retired and I was wondering if you need any help during training camp this year?
I think there's a good chance McNabb will be given the chance to call plays at the line of scrimmage. The Eagles offense utilizes mismatches to attack opposing defenses. Not allowing the defense they're facing to bring in an extra DB or LB could give them the chance to exploit an advantage. BWest is a key to their offense. They can have him move outside to give them a 3 WR pass look. Or he can get in the backfield to give the Birds a run look. #36 is very hard for on guy to matchup against.

with Dallas changing head coaches, how can Andy prepare for Wade Phillips 3-4 scheme which is different from the one Bill Parcells ran?
They can look at what Wade did in San Diego last year. They'll study how the Chargers defense attacked and prepare plays to move the ball against that defense.

As I just explained teh Eagles will prepare against what they saw the coach's defense do a year ago. The Eagles pass rush will be awesome if they do a good job of stopping the run.

First time Long time! I've been getting quietly excited about the potential of the new look backers…Am I too optimistic to assume that the new edge backers won't get run over like the likes of jammin Bow tie and the little brittle chips A'hoy McCoy… have been in the past? And by the way, thank you for being the only honest to the point, say as you see it personality.

I think the change in outside linebackers will prove to be a major upgrade for the Eagles. Spikes and Gocong are aggressive and they'll do a much better job against the run than the Eagles OLB's did a year ago.
