ProFootballTalk.com saying that the Eagles could be reprimanded by the league and lose a draft pick because they're getting too physical at their OTA workouts. I'll be majorly upset if the Eagles lose a draft pick because of the physical nature of their OTA workouts. The Birds aren't doing anything at their workouts that's different from everybody else in the league.
Yes they're breaking the rules just like every other team in the league is doing. Their practices are done in shorts and helmets just like their competitors. They have their offensive and defensive linemen do pass rush drills. If you look NFL Network you can see all the other teams running the same type of practice.
Unfortunately at this moment I have no idea who is responsible for complaining to the union. There's a problem with this rule to abstain from contact during OTA's. All the teams in the league are breaking the rule but only one idiot on the Eagles decides to complain to the league. This should be straightened out by the league and the union. They should either change the rules or decide to penalize all teams that break it.
Bottomline, the Eagles shouldn't be singled out for doing what everybody else does at their OTA's.
