Rumors are starting to float in D.C. that maybe owner Daniel Snyder is starting a conversation with former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher . If Cowher were to take up with the Skins in 2008, that would mean trouble for the Birds in the future. Bill had an incredible run with the Steelers and believes in playing physical football. His coming back would be a lot different than an elderly Joe Gibbs returning to action, plus Cowher is said to be taking only a couple of years off,
while his daughters finish up their careers playing college basketball. Gibbs retired for over a decade and still seems to be out of touch with the current NFL. He has had to turnover the running of both his offense and his defense to assistant coaches.
Dustin Fox will have a tough time making the Eagles football team but he did surprise me a few times during the mini camp , so I'm not ruling out when it comes to making the squad. He seems to be playing a bit faster than he has in the past. Justin will have to beat out Joselio Hanson and rookie Rashad Barksdale in order to make the team.
The wife of the late great Johnny Unitas will go before Congress on Tuesday and tell them about the pain and suffering that so many former football greats have to endure . The Congressmen will be taking a close look at the pensions and disability situation involving the NFL, the NFLPA and its fomer players.
This week down in Florida the NFL is conducting it's 11th annual rookie symposium . The youngsters will ge the chance to hear from former players what they need to do to have trouble-free and successful NFL careers. They need to drag Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson down there to show the rookies what not to do.
Brad Childress have better come up with some better ideas about how to move the football because the Vikes were terrible last year offensively. He loves to run the football but he'd better have some kind of solution for getting the ball into the endzone.
