I have had numerous Eagles fans approach me and ask about Brian Dawkins.
Some of those fans have told me that they believe BDawk is suffering from a concussion he suffered a year ago. I think Dawk is fine. All that concussion talk is bogus. Brian has missed all of the off season workouts and the Eagles have said he's been missing for personal reasons.
From what I've heard, his absences have nothing to do with a concussion. I know his wife had twins and Brian decided against going to the Pro Bowl because of her pregnancy. I think Dawk is just staying close to his wife during this time because she needs his help. They've already got a couple of youngsters who are almost in their teens and now they've got two twin babies. I can understand why his wife would want him to stay around.
These workouts aren't going to do anything for Dawk. The fact that he has missed them isn't going to affect his game. He would have been able to help the other safeties and keep them on top of their game, but he'll be ready to help them in camp. Brian has always been an ultimate professional and that's why Andy Reid and crew have no problem with his missing this time. Oh yeah speaking of a sense of urgency which I mentioned while talking abotu Jevon Kearse, if the Birds could bring home a Super Bowl title, it would make Dawk a sure fire Hall Of Famer.
