I like Billy he's a nice guy but what have the Sixers done with him calling the shots. With Billy Wagner as their closer, the Phils would have gone to the playoffs last year and would be leading the division right now.

Eagles Getting No Respect From National Media

I am a eagles fan living in DC, how come nobody in the media gives the eagles credit or a shot to be successful this year. Every time I read a publication or turn on Espn, they have crowned the cowboys champs in 2008 already, is there a bias towards the eagles from the national media.

I think members of the media know that dissing Philly will get a big reaction so they want to stir things up. I don't see how people can be picking the Cowboys.
Defending L.J. Smith And Jevon Kearse

Seeing some of the comments on this site about LJ Smith and Jevon Kearse make me wonder if I've been watching the same Eagles. LJ Smith is an amazing tight end with better than average hands, blocking and play making ability. More importantly LJ impresses me as the consumate team player which these days is invaluable. He's so good, that I named my doberman after LJ. I even bleached an L and a J on the back of my dobie's arms.
I also believe Jevon (the Freak) Kearse in one of the top tier defensive ends in the game. He's often double teamed, plays at both ends of the line and still finds ways to pressure the quarterback when the remainder of the defensive line is mired. I don't blame him for wanting to keep his weight down coming off a tough injury. Agility, field sense and speed are as important as strength at DE. Training camps and the preseason game are not a good measure of a veteran player. Ask any pro, like LJ or the Freak See you at Lehigh.

I think both of these guys are good players. I think L.J. hasn't been as surehanded as he needs to be. I thought his blocking last year was great. Jevon is one of the best athletes in the NFL. I think he must show up to camp with much more weight on him.
He Wants To See Replays Of the Games

Garry, first a great career, l loved watching ya, unfortunately we didnt have you long enough… l've asked Comcast a dozen times…and now l'll put it to you… some cities across the states replay their cities NFL games two/three times a week.. l know l'm not the only one that works second and sometimes third shift and l'm constantly missing the games…sure they say tape em… and l can give you a thousand reasons in the past 20 years when l tried to tape em.. and murphy's law took affect…. Why cant we have NFL Eagles Replay of our Games.. dang it…. l cant be the only one working… consider us.. when l make it to a game.. its precious.. l miss too many games Garry… help me out. please.

You can see replays of some games on NFL Network but the NFL won't allow the other networks to replay their games. It's unfortunate but those are the rules.
