Bryon Gliem,
G. first great career, we miss you being out there, secondly great website, truly insights into the Eagles that normal sports sites dont have, you and your son deserve alot of kuto's..lastly, Eagles defensive line, with Howard needing a good year, and Bunkley still untested, McDougle being a ????? what are your thoughts on the Eagles taking a look at Tank Johnson, he's available.. he wasnt drunk, at 6'3 300 lbs, he's sizable, dont you think he would make a great addition to the line ????? lets face it, Rayburn is gone, McDougle is doubtful, he's a 4 yr veteran, give me your thoughts… many thanks
Bryon,
First of all, he's already suspended for the first eight games and even though he won't be charged for drunk driving in his latest incident, there's a good chance he will continue messing up. He shouldn't have been driving any where at 3:30 in the morning after drinking some alcohol. After all he's been through this year, he should have been at home at that time of night. I don't think they should even consider that option. Thans for checking out the site.
Somebody Doesn't Like Howard Eskin
From Jim B.,
Hi G.,
Thanks for not backing down to Howard – he thinks he can just bully people for four hours with his constant one-sided propaganda vs. the Phillies and Bush. Nonetheless, you responded to him in a way no caller would have – or else he'd have hung up on them.
Thanks for trying your best to keep the politics out of it, and treating callers with respect.
Your website is also an excellent source of info.
Keep up the good work!
More Reasons The Eagles Should Run The Ball More
From Fred Gratzon,
It seems to me that more emphasis on a running game has other advantages that I haven't seen mentioned. If Donovan is passing less, he is also being sacked and hit (after passing) proportionately less too. Those vicious hits have got to add up and take their toll over a course of a season. It makes sense to me that if McNabb is being hit less, chances are he will get injured less.
In addition, if an opponent's defensive line is constantly having to fend off our charging offensive hulks during running plays, they are going to get worn down more quickly and be less effective when they have to rush the passer.
Finally, running the ball frequently will keep defenses honest. They will no longer be able to gamble that a play will be a pass and be right 70% of the time.
We've got the line and we've got the horses in the backfield. As fabulous as Donovan already is, I think our running game will take McNabb's game to new unimagined heights.
My prediction for this season (not counting pre-season games): Eagles – 19-0.
Fred,
I agree with everything you had to say about the running game but I don't know about the 19-0 record.
