Late Edition: NFL News Headlines

Jerome Bettis had some very strong words last night when he predicted his former head coach Bill Cowher will probably coach the Giants.

That makes sense because we all know that current head coach Tom Coughlin is on life support.  Cowher is rumored to be taking a year or two off from football to spend time with his daughters who play basketball for Princeton.

The Indianapolis Colts just made Dwight Freeney the highest paid defensive player in the history of the NFL. He got a $72 million dollar contract and a whopping $30 million dollar contract.

It's good thing the Birds grabbed McNabb in the draft rather than selecting Akili Smith. Smith debuted up in Canada and promptly threw three interceptions in one quarter.
