The Birds got their workout in this morning. They were on the field for an hour and a half. The Birds just don't have enough guys out there to stay on the field too long.
It really wasn't much of a workout. The Birds coaches worked with the guys on individual drills. The goal during these practices is to get the youngsters up to speed so they can compete with the Vets.
Donovan McNabb had the brace on his knee this morning as he tossed passes to his receivers. He was zipping the ball in there to his receivers. A few of those passes wound up on the ground because he was putting some mustard on them. He let a few go deep that fell right into the arms of a streaking wide receiver.
Andy Reid was looking over the shoulder of his defensive coaches which is a good thing. Andy was checking out what was being taught to his young defensive linemen. Victor Abiamiri was getting his work in and you can see how strong he is in his upper body. I could see Jim getting him on the field on first downs to help against the run.
Tony Hunt isn't going to outrun anybody but he's a natural catching football. Hunt fits well into this offense with the way he's able to perform all the tasks that are asked of him. He pass blocks, run routes and run well in between the tackles.
C.J. Gaddis really moves well for a safety. He's got good feet. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to find ways to get Gaddis on the field.
