Injury Report – McDougle Done for Season

Here's the injury report released by Andy Reid this morning.  It looks like Jerome McDougle is going to be able to get another year out of the Eagles.  This guy has made about 13 million dollars from the Birds.  Has anybody been paid so much for doing so little.

This time it's a triceps injury for McDougle that will likely sideline him for the season.  Of course he'll be sidelined from playing but he won't be sidelined from getting a check.  Maybe the Eagles screwed a player a number of years ago and because what goes around comes around, McDougle is paying them back for it.

Here's the injury report that Andy released this morning:

LB Craig Kobel: “Was diagnosed with a sports hernia and has been given some treatment options. We will decide early next week what course of action we will take.”

G Shawn Andrews: “He’s making progress on his ankle. He will not play this week. We’ll see how he does next week.”

QB Kelly Holcomb: “Suffered a contusion on his left knee. With Donovan’s return, this week was Kelly’s week off in the quarterback rotation, anyway.”

DE Jerome McDougle: “Suffered a significant right triceps injury and looks like he’s out for the year. We’ll update his status in the near future”

RB Ryan Moats: “He has a left ankle fracture. Surgery on that ankle is pending. He will likely miss the 2007 season.”

DT LaJuan Ramsey: “He has right high ankle sprain. He will miss this week and we’ll see from there.”

OL Stefan Rodgers: “Suffered a right lis franc sprain vs. the Ravens. He’s seeing an ankle specialist today. He will undergo season-ending surgery.”

R Bill Sampy: “He’s getting better with his quad contusion.”

TE L.J. Smith: “He’s still recovering from his groin strain. He most likely won’t play this Friday.”

Returning for portions of today’s practice are Brian Dawkins, Dustin Fox, Montae Reagor, Dedrick Roper, Ian Scott, and Lito Sheppard. Reid said, “We’ll see how they practice and determine their playing status later in the week.”
